Only thing about Ale81 is that you either hate it or you love it. People here call it Winchester sewer water, but it tastes somewhat like ginger ale mixed with sprite.
We have Cheerwine here in Virginia also but I've never tried it. When I lived in Hawaii, we had Waialua Soda Works. The pineapple and mango are the bomb.
Damn. The only place I've seen it in VA is Pierces BBQ (best BBQ EVER) near Williamsburg...never found it in Richmond. But yeah, Cheerwine is the best. I grabbed four 2L bottles when I drove through NC there this summer.
