I didn't really see any pictures that matched mine so i figured i'd post and see what the city thought. I've been dealing with this issue since seed. So i believe it to be related to my soil mix, although i can't pinpoint exactly what is causing the distress to properly fix it. What type of medium; soil or hydro? What brand and type of soil? Soil less (30% peat, 40% coir, 10% vermiculite, 10% perlite, 10% EWC) Indoors or outdoors? What strain? Unknown Bagseed How old are the plants? 31 Days from seed What type of lights and how many watts? 360W Hps How far from the lights? about 16-18 inches What is your watering frequency and source of water? Once-twice a week, Water aerated tap What, how much and when was it fed? NPK? Water only, Amended soil (see below) What is the medium/runoff pH and PPM if in hydro? Unknown What are the temps and humidity in the room? 76-80 degrees, 50-60% RH What size pots? 5 gal Any bugs? Look real close. fungus gnats Any other pertinent info? i've been dealing with this issue since seed, i've noticed stunted growth Harding/under curling of leaves, as well as the discoloration/spotting dis formation of leaves Amendments(Per cubic foot) 1c - crustacean meal, cottonseed meal, alfalfa meal, & fish bone meal 1/2c - kelp meal 1/4c - neem cake 2tbs - glacial rock dust(per plant) 1/4c - sul-po-mag 1/4c - egg shell (coffee grinder) 2tbs - "humate" 1/4c - azomite 1/4c - calphos
Did you add any Phosphorus to the soil mix? Have you tested the soil pH? Your plants have more than one problem and that often makes a solid diagnosis difficult.
You added egg shells, bone meal, and crustacean meal, all of which contain lots of calcium. Also most people have much harder water than they suppose, and it too contains a lot of calcium... too much in many cases. My guess is that you have too much calcium in the mix and calcium locks out magnesium and pottasium, both deficits of which i see on your plant,,, along with too much nitrogen, which will hinder flowering times and bud formation if the plant doesn't use most of it up during it's last weeks of veg and first month of flowering.
yeah I know about the hard water. I thought I read somewhere either coir or peat has problems with absorbing/locking up cal. so I thought I'd be ok with the amounts. but that would explain the mag problem I thought I had. Thanks for your input
