Any blades have their card for GAD?

    Hello blades! I recently got diagnosed with GAD and I'm happy as a coat in a coat closet....well becuase Im now eligible for a card. So I'm wondering, do any other blades have their card for GAD/ other anxiety issues. Does it help a lot? Will the process be easy? Thanks!:hello::smoke:

    Some of these questions get lost in the board noise. Try starting a new thread with something like "Need help treating Mental Illness - GAD" I blundered in by confusing GAD with GERD My reply will move you back up the list for a short time but not for too long.

    i got my card for anxiety as well.bud helps alot and i feel im less toned down on it compared to other anxiety meds.i pretty much shoot for hybrids or indicas since sometimes sativas cause me more anxiety.in low doses nothing beats an og for my anxiety.theyre usually nice and relaxing in the body mostly, depending on what strain. i would take bud over prescription meds anyday!:hello::smoke:

    Thanks for the response man, I have a quick question though. Seeing as you've been to a psychiatrist, what will I expect?

    i havent been to a psychiatrist in a few years, i went to my mmj doctor on my own accord.are you asking about the mmj doctors visit?

    Well yes and no. See I'm made a psych appt. for Monday, I kinda nervous on what he'll say. I just need some insight on what will happen

    i dont know if a psychiatrist can prescribe mmj, but i assume the first session will just kind of be getting to know you and getting comfortable with each other first before you start going right into youre problems but not all are the same.thats just my experience from the ones ive went to. he might refer you to a medical marijuana doctor if you want to get that for youre symptoms.i liked goin to a psych for a little but i kind of got over talking about my problems since they generalize things and make assumptions and honestly i can do that myself,although its good to listen to a fresh perspective once in awhile.im definitely not saying i wont see a psych in the future im just not ready to talk at this point in my life.its good to go to one if you just want to talk to someone cuz it can really help but if youre just going to get youre medical card and dont really want to talk you can just go to a mmj doctor.i think youre psychiatrist might refer you there anyways if you ask him about it.im not sure tho.i live in cali btw so i dont know if other states are different

    Do you think I should tell them about my marijuana use, if they ask?

    If you like him (or her) wait a little before saying it. If you're on the fence, just out and say it. I've had a therapist start yelling at me when I told him. I already didn't really like him. I never went back.

    I'm afraid she'll just try to say that's what's causing me to act the way I do. Which I know isn't. I'm scared she's not gonna give me any help and just call me an addict
