I'm setting up for a grow. I have 7 5 gallon buckets full of compost(which I've used before.) Yesterday before planting seeds I topped off all the buckets with some potting soil, since they were not filled up all the way. I planted and watered. Went to check and water this am and their were ants crawling all around the buckets. How can I get rid of them before plants sprout or does it not matter. Im thinking once I turn on my MH along with the cfls that they will leave or die(burn) I welcome any suggestions. Oh yeah there were no ants untill I put in the potting soil. The buckets have been sitting 3/4 full for over a week why I waited for my seeds.
I bought a spray yesterday at the nursery while buying more nutrients. The lady said its supposedly safe on my tomatoes. Hopefully I can get rid of em before the plants pop up
