Basically, it says i have 1 day of protection left on my antivirus i use. and im broker than a naked black lady so i wont be paying the yearly subscription thing for a while, i need some advice on keeping my computer healthy. do programs like frostwire give you viruses?
just dl some free protection, lots of them give you a free trial. when the trial is up, do a different one. and repeat until you have said money

Avast is amazing! You put your email and pw make an account and its free for a year. then after the year u can do it again. Its way better then norton or even Kaspersky, i have never had one virus since Avast

...i feel you. before starting grad school i was broker-than-broke and because i knew that the school would give me a corp version of norton anti-virus for free i didn't want to spend money idly for a six month spell. here is what i learned....your virus protection still works post the 'cut-off' date, it just doesn't download new virus definitions (which is what you are paying for in theory). if you are not the type to bop around alot of new sites then you should be fine for now (and any viruses included in your current virus definition would be caught by your current and outdated virus protection). however, if you are the type to a) check out new sites on a whim b) open attachments/ click in message links or c) have a propensity for triggering a virus ....then you need an interim solution.
