Anti-Gay Marriage thread, not a bash thread

  1. Yeah, procreating with your wife isn't a waste of sperm but masturbating is. What i'm saying is that anyone who wastes sperm can't complain about other people doing it. It'd be like me doing a drive by and then complaining about gun crime.

No not at all, they tried to have a child and couldn't, they are married and love each other and partake in having sexual intercourse just like any other cometed relationship, that's the gay this gays are doing just there is no way from them to have a child, even with artificial semenation they couldn't have a child, that's what i think is wrong about a gay relationship

Look all I'm saying is even with artificial semenation there is no way a man and another man can have a child, simple as that

  4. IDK, coming from an adoptive family, i dont think thats an logical conclusion. My uncle and aunt, even though "god" would not allow them to pro-create, still found a way to acquire a child. They now , 10 years later, are the parents of a healthy 11 year old. They couldnt have kids, found a way to have one, and now are a loving family. Why cant two men or women who love each other just as much go through the same trial and tribulations?

  5. Some women can't have a child, even with artificial insemination. Does that make the marriage null and void if the woman is completely sterile? My sister has tried AS several times and couldn't produce a child, I guess she shouldn't be married to her husband since that goes against the "sanctity" of marriage or w\e other BS u want to spew.

  6. We don't need to, there are plenty of unwanted children from heterosexual partnerships.

Sure whatever tickles your pickle, if you want to fuck guys have at it, I'm a grown ass man, I have my own opinion which you cannot change and I have bigger fish to fry then sit in front of a computer and argue with someone

  8. Could have fooled me!

  9. Yeah of course you do.

  10. So eight pages later, we are still without a rational argument against gay marriage. Instead, here we just have some guy expressing his personal distaste for male homosexuals.

Then again, most arguments against gay marriage tend to stem from a disapproval of homosexuals and, in reality, such arguments have virtually nothing to do with the institution of marriage... so really that's where we're at.

  11. The 10 commandments say killing is wrong. Dont go picking out rare verses in the bible to judge the entire thing, its gone through corruption, mistranslation, etc.

Ok that first part just isn't accurate man, off the top of my head in the middle of Romans 1 there's a pretty clear condemnation of it.

What the evangelical right wingers who want to flat out ban homosexuality in some cases are ignoring is that Paul also says in one of his epistles (I wish I could remember which not sure though atm so I don't wanna make something up :p) that Christians should not concern themselves with the actions of a non-Christian. i.e. worry about yourself.

Not to mention the whole "take the plank out of your own eye" deal that Christ talked about. Christ also rebuked his disciples when they suggested a man born blind was born blind because of his sin or that of his parents, which is exactly the kind of logic behind people who claim that hurrican katrina or any other disaster was because of some group of people's actions. It's the height of hypocrisy. Maybe the next natural disaster we can say happened because of a bunch of old people gossiping in sunday school somewhere in the mid-west?

But I agree with you on the people claiming to speak for God, the syncretism of Christianity and the right wing is sickening. As if God would have a political party .

It's not like that all over btw either... I know some people who lived in Japan and they told us that over there it's assumed you're a hardcore socialist if you're a Christian lol :p (the early church lived in what was basically a commune type lifestyle)

  13. Romans wasn't God or Jesus speaking if I remember correctly, but Paul.

  14. It doesn't...

I'm not here to defend my religion or beliefs thank you very much. If you wanna fight about religion, there's a spirituality forum I believe. I, however, have no need to convince anyone else.

  15. Well none of the bible is claimed to have been literally God or Jesus writing something in a book. All of it is via 3rd party through the holy spirit. I know you probably don't believe any of it at all, but you can't pick and choose, it's either all made up or just some of it.

And yes there's the apocrypha too which is rejected by most protestants but accepted by catholics, that's a long story I don't really wanna get into that but Romans is pretty much universally accepted as being canonical.

I don't have to pick out rare verses, the bible is loaded with these kinds of ignorant controlling bullshit verses. Whether it be man who corrupted the bible or not facts are facts. Women have been burned, children murdered, etc... all in the name of the Christian god. Regardless of what Jesus or God intended they have brought forth an evil greater than any evil they sought to abolish or prevent.

Again on topic there is no logical reason to be against gay marriage.

  17. Don't get me wrong, I think it's a load of shit. But the point I was making is that there are parts documenting what God or Jesus 'said' and I thought Romans (and Corinthians and so on)were just paul writing letters to people.

  18. I'm all for gays, and gay marriage. BUT

I absolutely despise the gay parade

  19. Haha, this was my point to begin with :smoke:

  20. Well it comes to this, we all have different views and beliefs on the topic. I don't agree with gay marriage but I also believe its wrong to take away someones free will. On top of that who is one to judge another? What two men want to do with their life is up to them, but has nothing to do with me and as long as it stays that way it doesn't affect me. To be imature, it grosses me out but even if its not as nature intended they should be able to do what they want just as I can. Wont catch me voting for or against it though.
