well my neighbor got them last year I think from a plant he was gifted. we didn't notice it was them until I spread it to my plants. we both pulled them last year. this year both of ours were growing great but mine stalled at 6 feet, just went out today and noticed my buds started to turn brown so looked at them under the scope...https://drive.google.com/file/d/17sEaKGS4H6jbzOpXGu2x-kcAny0kG5gy/view?usp=drive_link. have no idea how I got them, its not like they can fly and only have 2 legs so not real moble...I live massachusetts does anyone know if the eggs can survive the winter? or how to prevent this from happening a third year in a row?
    thx steve

  2. thx but when I posted I already decided to just pull them..not worth my time trying to salvage the 4 pants I have. just would like to know why they came back been growing for almost 55 yrs and first time I've encountered these bastards

  3. It's been abnormally humid this summer for an extended period of time.

  4. yes it has but how does that effect things?. spider mites can infest over 200 species of plants russet hemp mites only cannabis. so I'm assuming they can't travel far like spider mites who can get a meal fairly easily and travel from plant to plant. get what I'm saying? or what am I missing?

  5. Generally speaking when conditions are more favorable to a particular organism, one will see more of said organism around.

  6. I agree but all conditions weather , food, predators etc need to be optimum and since their food source for them is a limiting factor, I don't see the how the weather will trump that...its not like I live in an area where everyone is growing it and food sources are plentiful and they can survive waking long distances without food not trying to be argumentative here. just not getting your point. my question was ."I live massachusetts does anyone know if the eggs can survive the winter"

  7. They spread through the wind.

  8. I can see These mites can be carried by wind currents over short distances, allowing them to move from one hemp plant to another just didn't think them traveling a longer distance would be effective since they would have to still go from plant to plant and the chances over a longer distance seem low but guess you only need 1 to make it

  9. thx
