    Hi Sam
This is a one gram extraction for reduction into coconut oil
It is for medicinal purposes and has a strain called Thunder struck which is 10% thc 15%cbd
The person cannot stand the taste of cannabis products so it has the full scrub
Once enough ethanol has evaporated I will add 2 tablespoons of coconut oil and finish the reduction

    Update
My celite puck caught an edge and flattened creating a gap, I lost half the tincture to a leak
I didn't have any 2.5 grams pucks and tried to short cut it by using a 5 gram puck
    Never short cut
My go to for pain relief
Going to Maine in a couple of weeks to sample some .5% thc 19% cbd flower for processing pain medication

    IMG_20220416_112313.jpg

12 month old natural decarb kept in the freezer
    Trippy pain relief

    Loving the covid extractions
The thc-a isolate I use in my oil is fantastic for inflammatory issues
    Hands and knees

    IMG_20220416_113456.jpg

    Final product
Only 1 tablespoon of coconut oil
I'll let you know the feedback
    IMG_20220416_114644.jpg

    So they want chocolates
I can add dry dutched cocoa or melt a candy bar
If you use dry add lecithin
Most processed candy bars already have it added so it is not needed
    Check the ingredients label

I wrote this while I was making the infused oil and had a couple of vape bags
I accept no responsibilty, its the flowers fault

  3. That clothing tag is a bit blurry. Does it say to remove the child before washing?

How much did that THCa cost you? I was seeing $60-$70 per gram in bulk. The CBDa and CBGa were about $6/g.

    Yes
Sorry, it was super sloppy infusion day
The chocolates came out great and I'm sitting here in low to moderate pain
Patient has already ingested and fallen asleep after three hours on one chocolate
They were picked up just after posting
Very faint cannabis aftertaste that went away quickly with the bitterness of the dark chocolate
Barely hanging on, have not done oil in a while and this infusion is pure chill

    The thc-a was $80 a gram I think
    I got a half gram
Had it for about six months and have several doses left

  5. [IMG]

My 100 year old Mother in Law is having a reoccurrence of the roof of her mouth Cancer she had 5 years ago.
I made an ounce of THC-a Tincture from some just harvested buds and a mess of 1 drop capsules of my high THC Hash oil at the request of my wife. We will visit on Tuesday and offer them. She is no stranger to Alcohol often having a glass or two of wine with dinner so we will see if she will try a bit of Cannabis.

She is having trouble swallowing so we used #4 capsules. The wife wanted to use #5 but I figured they would be near impossible for my stoned fingers to manipulate. Sure enough the #4 were enough of a pain. Even with some magnifiers on it was hard to get a drop aligned and hit that tiny opening.

  6. My hands hurt just reading this post
By capsule 20 I'm holding my wrist with one hand and trying to get the oil into the capsule with the other while swaying back and forth
Arguably one of the most fruitless endeavours after cap 20
It ends up everywhere but the capsules
Easier to have people lick the countertops
    IMG_20220418_123323.jpg

103 grams about to get the scrub for infusion
Some of these medical users are up in 1000+ mg a day
My first 3/4 syrup 1/4 oil infusion split
6 flavored syrups and the oil
Doing lemon for lemonade and lime for margaritas

  7. Still researching and refining
    Perfecting carbonation right now
Have to experiment with letting the soda go flat to make sure the cannabis oil stays suspended in different recipes
    These beverages will be different
    More incorporated and fuller flavor

Doing a full order of the cbd chocolates for someone
May end up substituting for ambien

My wife is a very easy hit with cannabis. A toke or three before dinner is all she really likes.
We are using her as the tester for what I'm making her 100 year old step mother
She tested the THC-a Tincture I made from very fresh Buds with a small sip of the 190 proof.
She likes the burn so that didn't bother her. Zero stone as near as she or I could tell.

Last night she wanted to try some more on a place where she had bitten her tongue. I didn't have any of the -a Tincture on the boat so I made a shooter of Dry Ice Kief and 190 proof. She wet just the tip of her finger and rubbed a tiny bit on. Three minutes later her face is flushed and she's pissed at me. Yes she was higher then a kite off my raw un--Decarbed Kief. Blistered I'd have to say. Far past her comfort zone.

Does the extreme cold of the dry ice do some level of Decarb? Did the Kief do enough natural decarb to have that much punch? LOL I haven't figured it out but WOW I haven't seen the wife that stoned in a good couple of years. God forbid she had tossed the whole mini shooter in her mouth.

  9. It got activated somehow
There was a couple of posts about alternative decarb methods somewhere
Think it was a standalone thread
Have not come across anything regarding decarb in my surface dive on liquid nitrogen for flash freezing bud for extraction
Should be simple enough to find an answer......

  10. BKS and I had a "discussion" about this in my first thread, the honey infusion. I had attributed the decarb to freezing for 24 hours. I really knew nothing about the process but had researched it extensively. I had seen an article that said something about extreme cold affecting the carboxyl group. It seemed solid enough for some credibility and the recipe on which I based it did not decarb first. There wasn't really a lot known about decarb at the time. I had used some old trim that I had been given, at least 2 years. I had been using the same material oil and butter with good results. Needless to say, BKS reamed me a new one and it was the one time that I did have to back down to her. But her main premise as to why it wouldn't work was a massive failure.

I could never find that research no matter how hard I tried and I've continued to keep an eye on anything that comes up. They're now doing just about all extractions in extreme cold, -40°- -80°C. but -80°C causes some changes although not all have been figured out yet besides inhibiting polar compounds. I expected to find some reference, pro or con, over at Future4200 but all I found was that someone was trying to extract THCa and CBGa at the -80° point. They said that they lost the acid during the process on multiple occasions and were wondering if that extreme temp was to blame. There weren't any conclusions in the discussion. In the back of my mind I keep hoping they will find some conclusive evidence that cold does affect decarb just so that I could say "I told you so" to BKS again...in the back of my mind.

If it were back in 2012 when I made that thread I would definitely agree that the dry ice would have played a role. I still have a little niggling to this day that it's true. Like believing in Santa Clause even when you're all grown up. 8d9213dd5a803751c624d42cd19ea4573a5c357b.gif

    Always experimenting
Made a 3.5 gram cbd forward flower (15%) extraction
    No measuring, just screwing around
Let it sit with a loose cover a week in the fridge until....
    IMG_20220501_174112.jpg

Warmed up some coconut oil and melted a little chocolate
I used the heated platform on the stirrer but hot tap water would have done the job
Cbd chocolates that have seen no flame from extraction to finished product

  14. I'm lurking. I've posted on a couple of other threads but not much there either. I seem to have torn another ligament in my right hand where the thumb meets the wrist to match the one in the same place on the left hand about 3 weeks ago and it hurts like the dickens. It's very difficult to type or do anything involving both hands or either hand for that matter. Can't hold a pen or anything involving trying to grasp things. Very difficult to even pull up my pants.

I suspect that I'll have to use speech recognition in the near future. Oh, well, what can you do? violin.gif

  16. Glad to hear you are still here , seems like everywhere is slow lately. I know that pain , I ripped that tendon on my left hand and worn a brace for over a year, Yep the pants can be a problem.
I had to wear elastic sweats and shorts for a long time for that reason.
Best of luck , Im a lurker too.
I did pick up a small (tiny hash washing machine )ice method waiting to try out.

  17. Hey Sam
    Some real good news
The CBD strains are getting a following
Latest convert is my wife who does not even drink caffeine
Root canal and she was hurting, remember no more narcotics
Popped a chocolate and 90 minutes later the pain dulled and shortly after she was out cold
Up once, NOT high and pain is minimal, out again

    THUNDERSTRUCK 10% thc 15% CBD

When it comes to vice she is Polly Pure heart
Not even caffeine....that's existential crisis for me
People take her seriously despite being with me and her voice matters
If I catch her on a day she does not want to kill me maybe suggest she post her experience
    Big maybe...

  18. So this is a follow up the above post

    Wife experienced a minor "high"
    Reported being fuzzy
No green out and no recreational high so the high cbd did its job
Estimate the chocolate to be between 30-40mg so it sedated her but no anxiety attack or psychoactive experience
Slept well and is now using the chocolates for sleep

    Overall a success

  19. I've never had success with CBD for sleep. It wakes me up. If I take it before bedtime then 2 hours later I'll be wide awake and can't get back to sleep. :)

  20. She was out cold sitting in a chair
Reported being sluggish after the big dose
Subsequent smaller dose produced a fitful sleep and no real hangover
Nothing compared to the Ambien hangovers

I had a similar experience with the chocolates
Think the infused coconut oil plays a major part, the oil itself
