Another quick question about strengthening nute solution

  1. The Flora series feeding schedule suggests strengthening the nutrient solution of the plant's every week. Is that normal? The plants adjust easily every week?

  2. the key is to start at a low dose, say 1/4 of the recommended, and increase slightly each time. if the plants starts to show signs of nute burn then you back off the dosage. taking small steps instead of giant leaps will prevent you from burning the crap out of them.

  3. slightly every week or every feeding?

it seems like the plant gets use to the solution near the end of the week and then the schedule says to add or subtract up to 6ml of floragro or micro or bloom.

is that too much? does GH not know what the hell they are doing because when listening to them I burned the plants really bad.

  4. How often are you ferting? I fert once a week as per the schedule that came with my nutes.

  5. Oh wait maybe this is one of those ah-ha moments. My flora schedule is steup per gallon of water. For example, week 2, 10ml grow, 5ml micro, 3ml bloom per gallon of water. What I have been doing is using that gallon of solution and watering the plants by manually topfeeding through rockwool "hugos" throughout the week, tuesday, then friday, then a diluted dosage sunday finishing the gallon off, and flush with water monday.

Should I be only giving the nutrient solution one day per week and use water the rest?
Don't the hydro planters circulate the solution through all the time?
Is it different for soil or rockwool growers (once per week)?

  6. I'm no expert Wiggla, but I would say that since you're growing hydroponically. U will fert every watering. Every other watering when growing in soil. Good luck man!

  7. For soil it's fert every other watering. And note to only use half-strenght (the feeding table says that in the left column). So depending on how often you water the soil it can be 2 days between each fert or 1 week.

With hydro I have no clue. I guess the feeding table should tell you?

  8. if your doing hydro you need a ec/ppm meter, secondly when you get your meter, you need to know what conversion factor they use .5 or .7ppm to 1ec.
