Another Northern Outdoor Grow

  1. :hello::hello:
The icons above explain how i feel after last nights rain........what a f&*ken relief......in my area it hasn't rained before yesterday in over a month.....I was watering the dam plants twice to 3 times a week carrying 20 gallons per trip.....but after last nights rain I should be ok for another couple weeks I hope....I'm going to give the big momma's some more fert this weekend, so I'll check the soil then and gauge when they will need more.......Some of the plants I have are over 6 feet tall now and 4 to 5 feet wide.....So they absorb tons of water......<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:eek:ffice:eek:ffice" /><o:p></o:p>
    <o:p></o:p>
All the strains IM growing Freeze land, Dutch treat x Skunk, KC 33 and electric Purple. Some of them have already started to bud, I figure the Freeze land and the electric purple (both strains are from northern seed bank) should be ready for harvest in the Middle to late Sept and as for the DxS/ KC33 I figure early OCT to Mid Oct. I'll get some good pics later this week and put em up.<o:p></o:p>

  2. other than super cropping....?

    planting more seeds.

    :D

best to my knowledge without taking them indoor and growing ausie style trees.

Other than tying down and super cropping what are some tried and proven methods for increasing yield, like types of ferts whatever surprise me either on here or through a private post

Well my plants are ranging from 1 week to 3 weeks into budding now, my earlier problem with lack of water is no longer a problem. Now I have to worry about mold, fun.<O:p
    <O:p
So I figure most of the strains im growing (freezeland, Dutch Treat * Skunk, KC33, Electric purple) will finish at the end of Sept or within the first week of Oct. I guess the strains are earlier than what I was growing last year WW.
    <O:p
I'm hoping for a total overall yield of 10 to 20 pounds, Ill be happy with 10 but 20 would be better. I have more pics to load I just haven't got around to it. All my plants range from smallest 3 feet to largest 6 feet, average of 4.5 to 5 feet for most of the plants. Some of the six footers are 6 feet in height and 4 feet wide.<O:p

  4. What are you growin'..a forest?! :D Lookin good as hell, man.

  5. Wow, that is amazing. You are my idol! It takes huge balls and evidently a ton of work for a grow that big. But that pay-off is gonna be sweet! Congrats again man and keep it up:hello::smoking:

    Thanks, TT

  6. A great grow op man. But what are those strings that are hung through the background on the first set of pics?? Are they so you can hang cover on them or is the place booby trapped..JK, but yeah just curious. Hope harvest is plentiful!

  7. patriofarmer\tLooks real nice, can't wait to see updated pics, this is when the real magic happens. I have a question for you about nutes. No grow stores close to me so I can't find advanced nutrients and am paranoid about delivery, but in the past have you grown or experimented with no bloom ferts and if so what would be your estimate of increase in yield and potency when using the high quality like A/N. Would you suggest cheap bloom fertilizer like miracle gro as opposed to none? I am not strictly opposed to using chemicals but worry with outdoor growing that the medium cannot be flushed before harvest as indoors hope this makes sense. Thanks and hope this year is as good as last.

Thanks Patriofarmer, well the magic has arrived and all my spots are beautiful, dark green and budding (some purple, some pink, some yellow......arggg I love it). Well that’s a bummer that you can't find any A/N, but you can use bloom ferts from your local garden stores for flowers and fruit. Just get miracle grow, its good enough for now and its alot better than nothing, fer sure. As for worrying about flushing, just remember to not fert 2 to 3 weeks before your planned harvest time. But get out there and fert the fuk out of those MJ plants, they will love you for it. Peace.

Thanks alot TT, you inspire me to grow fields of weed.

Your right, just like anything I guess but yes the more work you put in the better the results are. So on those weekends when you feel like sleeping in, im waking up and trucking it thro the bush with mud in my eyes and a joint in my hand. Puff Puff.

And ya it does take balls I guess, See I love out door growing its in my blood and no one can stop me......so in my case its not big balls that enables me to do what i do, its passion and love for growing.......sorry if that’s cheesy, but that’s it passion of cultivating.....to bad I couldn't take that in school MJ 101.....lol.

KyungYi\tA great grow op man. But what are those strings that are hung through the background on the first set of pics?? Are they so you can hang cover on them or is the place booby trapped..JK, but yeah just curious. Hope harvest is plentiful!

Thanks Kyungyi, no there are no traps. I don’t need or desire traps. I use the string (hemp) as support for the plants when there bigger and it also helps to keep deer at bay.

  8. Haha right on. It's awesome that you are so passionate and dedicated to growing. I'm sure your buds will reflect all the work you put in :smoke::D. Again man, keep up the good work and good luck with your grow.

  9. Hey all,<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:eek:ffice:eek:ffice" /><o:p></o:p>
    <o:p></o:p>
I visited some of the plants a couple days ago, I had some pics to upload but I just found out my camera is dead. So I still will try to post some pics alittle later. <o:p></o:p>
    <o:p></o:p>
All my plants are budding now some are 4 or 5 weeks in and others are about 2 weeks into flowering. <o:p></o:p>
    <o:p></o:p>
I gave the plants there last amount of fertilizer for the year, I gave them more fertilizer than normal because of the size of the plants. Hopefully I have enough time for the plants use and release all that fert.<o:p></o:p>
    <o:p></o:p>
At the begging of the year I was thinking the spot could produce maybe 10 pounds, but after my last visit I'm starting to think they will produce more than that. Maybe double my prediction 20 or more pounds; because I've never had plants start to droop this early in the game. Because when I was fertilizing the plants I noticed that about 10 plants were covered in buds starting at about a foot all the way to the top (6 feet). Some of the plants were almost lying on the ground, so I tied them up.<o:p></o:p>
I'm going back for another visit in about 2 more weeks hopefully there still ok in two more weeks. I might be harvesting some of the Mj's then too.....if there ripe.<o:p></o:p>

  10. that would be an insane yield, you should take a picture of all of your plants
i cant wait to see the end product, keep it up peace

  11. carring 20 gallons is up hills is par with worlds stongest man.... ive carried two milk crates with 8 gallons a hand and thats a real work out...and i was goin down hill...and im a 6-2 250 pound beast....you must be the incredible hulk...:D

did you use a backpack or something? wheelbarrel?

20 gallons up hill sure did, I figure the distance up the hill (its more like a mountain ridge) is at least 500 to 800 feet. Some might say incredible hulk, I say just hulk....lol. IM 5-11 190 pounds. And I dont think its all strength that gets these jobs done, it more motivation. All these kind of activities dont worry me at all, I think its fun and plus it has to be done, otherwise all the previous work is done for nothing.

The most I carried at one time was over 20 gallons, it was 22.5 gallons last year. Two 10s and 1 2.5 gallon, 2.5 was in a cross country back pack and the two 10's in both hands. At the beginning of every year this work is hard, but after some body conditioning it gets easier.

  13. I was in need of some pic updates, so here they are. I figure most of the plants your looking at will need another 3 to maybe 4 more weeks (depending on weather). Most of the pics I'm posting are from last week.

I went and check em yesterday, and they look alot bigger than the pics im posting now. I guess the Heavy harvest is doing the trick.:hello::D;)

  14. So what does everyone think so far? How many weeks would you guys say i am from harvestin, based on the first two pics from the last post?

  15. I think they look great. It's shitty nobody responds to grow journals like they should. First I saw the update so I had to drop a line. I'm not sure about the harvest time for you. If I had to make a guess I'd say around 3-4 more weeks left on them. Very beautiful garden though, all those cola's forming look so badass all together like that. Your gonna have alot of good smoke

  16. already september 19 and you still need 3 weeks....

nice grow and good to see you back. Green First you'll have a solid supply but watch out for when those fan leaves start decomposing and all the nutrients are sucked out... i'd cut 'em off pronto. mold is abitch in october. gluck.

for some reason, even though im growing the same strain, 1 of my grows finished earlier then the others. So i've got some harvest in the bag already, i'll update some pics in my journal once my grow with an average height of 8 ft finishes. Massive hedges as i like to say.

Thanks Cabby. 3 weeks to 4 sounds about right, the only thing left to do now is to wait...... the hardest part.

  18. Just jumped on this ban wagon. The grow looks excellent. And the rural mountain side just adds to the whole thing.
    Well done.
    Hope it doesn't get discovered.....

    Plants look mega healthy.

Welcome to another northern grow. Thanks for your commments, I've put alot of time and sweat into these beauties.

Also thanks for your concern, about the security of my plants. Trust me these plants are so deep in the bush the only one who might find these would be big foot. And he won't rat on me. Wouldn't that be a funny story "Big Foot finds another Crop"

Healthy, very true. There is no lack of anything for these plants, well accept love. But no sex for my plants, I dont want any seed baggage on my clock.

    Peace and Pot.
