After reading the letter that the other guy wrote to the aforementioned website, i realized he probably wouldn't get a reply due to cursing, grammer, and whatnot (however i do understand his frustration). This inspired me to write one as well in a respectable way and see if they wrote me back and what they would say. here's what i wrote: To whoever it may concern: My name is Wade Holman and I am 24 years old. I have been smoking weed for 11 years. I don't understand where a lot of your facts come from. How can you say marijuana has no medical benefits?! It has been proven time and time again in numerous scientific publications the positive medical affects of marijuana. It causes social and educational problems, huh? Well,I graduated high school with a 3.4, and am currently a junior at Oegon Sate Uiversity holding a 3.65 going for a major in molecular genetics and biotechnology. I have also never been fired from a job and always did my best at every establishment I as employed at, and am also as respectable member of society. I am not the only one either. There are numerous doctors, lawyers, politicians, and even police that smoke marijuana and lead productive lives as parents and authority figures. If you have a logical argument or comment, I would love to hear your validation of supporting age-old federal propoganda to discourage individuals from exercising their rights to enjoy a bowl after work, much like the CEO of a major corporation can have a glass of brandy following a long day (which, by th way, we all know is much more dangerous a detrimental to health). i dont know why you guys waste your time emailing these people, do you think they give a flying fuck? they are making money, its a business. if you guys want to make a difference, write to the people who make the laws, not the people who promote them.
As I said in the other thread, grammar and vocabulary is irrelevant, all pro-pot letters are going to be ignored. They know. They aren't idiots. They're just scum. Propaganda isn't about truth, it's about belief, and instilling that belief in others. Belief doesn't take facts, and most often ignores them. Stop wasting your time. If you want to make a difference, write letters to your local law makers, donate to NORML, and start asking them to pursue an informational line of ads that are Pro-Pot.
