Well using a Apollo horiculture dimmable 1k mh/hps ballast and vegging m/h on 50% (about 500w) and flowering 1k hps w/cooltube xxl hood as usual for a dwc but I was wondering whats the actually electric usage for this ballast when dimmed? 1000 - Watt Grow Light Digital E-Ballast APL1000 | Ballast I searched and only found that there are few ballast that run the dimmed power instead of running at 50% or 75% when its dimmed, im just not sure if my ballast does this or not which I hope does since I didnt get a cheap ebay one.. Also have a no name600watt dimmable but on the ballast it dims to the actual watts instead of dimming by % and also I can see the light dim with the no name as soon as I turn the knob but with the 1k ballast its not really noticeable(I read though that was normal), which leads me to think that my 1k that dims by % is saving me electric cost and that the no name runs 600 all the time instead of 250w or 400w when thats dimmed Sorry for the long question lol Thanks ahead of time guys/gals
