I have one of these, Hydroponic Full Spectrum 3200K Warn CFL Grow Light Bulb 60 Watt Bulb 60W3200K - Amazon.com I am a little apprehensive about leaving it on unattended, could someone recommend a light fixture for it that wont melt, or destroy my home, or can i just use one of those clip on aquarium lighting fixtures that are oh so common.
any lamp fixture that is rated for that many watts will be fine. you can usually buy them from any hardware store for less than a £1 I have no experience with aquarium lights, aren't they usually t8 florescents?
Okay thank you that's what I thought, I've tested it in a 150 watt fixture and it heats up a decent amount, I've also been reading grow guides, and am pretty sure a few splitters and regular CFLs. Work just as well. I am using the CFLs for supplementary light when i take my babies in at night. They seem to like it and are doing swimmingly.
