  1. idk if this is the right forum to even post this in but if THC and other cannabinoids are anti cancerous would that mean the natural occuring cannabinoid found in your body, anandamide, could be anti cancerous too? and higher levels of of this cannabinoid is found in people who excersize regularly. could this be atleast a little bit of solid proof that excersizing is anti cancerous? I kno most people would rather smoke a joint then go for a jog but to clear up some curiosity does any one have any ideas about this idea?

Yes but DHEA, EPEA, EPG and ß-caryophyllene are much easier endocannabinoids to up regulate and flood the patients body with. The odds are 95% + that your body is already making all the AEA & 2-AG it wants. They come from Omega-6 fats and most of us eat more of this than our bodies can use to my knowledge today you wont be able to force the issue the way you can with DHEA EPEA and ß-caryophyllene. One of the more important concepts to get early is that like the cannabinoids in cannabis the different endocannabinoids work best when they work together. That means it is not good to concentrate too much on any one dietary fat source for endocannabinoids. The stuff I've been reading makes it look like each major class of dietary fat metabolizes into a different group of endocannabinoids.

Look in my blog. I'm trying to develop a list with examples of dietary sources. Help and feedback expanding the list and correcting errors is appreciated. If your cancer patient is having trouble eating and maintaining weight during treatment then be careful with PEA, OEA, and SEA. Though all three are cancer fighters and support AEA, DHEA and EPEA they also are anorectic in the digestive tract. PEA comes from Coconut Oil and other Palm Nut Oils. As long as the patient is eating well I would use them all but if your having trouble getting the food in you might want to reconsider what your doing.

It is unclear at the moment as it pertains to cancer treatment but the endocannabinoids appear to be activated and or enhanced by exercise. May I assume you have already ran the search "Endocannabinoid Exercise"? Exercise is required to achieve benefit from the endocannabinoid system in the treatment of any of the bone and joint diseases. I sometimes forget to tell the other bone & joint patients here about that part.

Before you go shopping all the DHEA I'm seeing in the stores is a testosterone supplement. You have to dose with DHA and make the DHEA inside your body. EPA is good too, but don't worry too much about it. Your body will make EPA and it's endocannabinoids EPEA & EPG from the DHA if there is no EPA in it. The strongest sources are Fish Oils, Krill Oils And made from Algae. Granny Storm Crow has been on me to leave the Krill Oil alone until I see some that is guaranteed sustainably harvested. Yesterday I got some Algal DHA over at the Wal-Mart (I know shouldn't shop there either) that is every bit as good as the Krill Oil and it is less than $10 for 30 little pills 450 mg each. Right now I'm dosing at about 3 to 4 gm. daily of assorted Omega-3 fats for Osteoporosis mostly fish oils.

I don't know the Cancer treatment dose for you but but I'll attach a few files if I have any thing for you that Granny Storm Crow hasn't already given you. I do a lot of editing so give me time before you quit watching this post.

PS: Echinacea has also been identified as having CB-2 receptor agonists.

  5. Thanks for refering me to this thread, Asthmatic. I see that there is undoubtedly a trove of info here. Unfortunately I dont have much faith in what I can absorb mentally. This is the first time in 3 days that I have even been able to sit enough to get on the computer, and dont know how long this visit can last, but my bigger concern is due to the high volume of pain meds currently taking, I'm not sure how much mentally I can absorb. My situation 6 yrs ago was much dif in that I could spend dozens of hours and I was alert so could absorb vast amounts of knowledge. I may head back to the other forum so I can ask a few more basic questions and try to piece things together in my head a little better. Thanks for the support!

  6. Get well if you can.

  7. IMO, I'd leave DHEA alone. Your body may convert it to either testosterone or estrogen, and may have unpredictable side-effects and health consequences.

For me, my Rheumatologist recommended I take it as an adjunctive treatment for my Lupus (which is a common recommendation). It made my Lupus worse, and I had to stop taking it. I tried it several times, and each time it caused my Lupus to flare.

There are two DHEA's. One as you say is testosterone we don't want that. The other our bodies make from DHA is called Docosahexaenoyl Ethanolamide and is an Omega-3 fatty acid generally found in marine oils, Fish and Algae. The one our bodies make from DHA is an endocannabinoid and is closely related to Anandamide in structure and neuronal binding. It also uses the same neuronal binding sites as THC. The dose for an RA patient appears to be 4 to 6 gm's a day. I'm finding 3 to 4 gm's a day to be about as much as my system will tolerate right now. I'm treating OA and Osteoporosis my self. There is to much literature suggesting fish oil helps Arthritis and Osteoporosis to ignore. Taken together with the published data about Cannabinoids and bone growth regulation and the fact that some of the metabolites of fish oil are endocannabinoids it becomes an attractive treatment choice for those of us who can't take NSAID's, Glucocorticoid Steroids, or Bisphosphonates due to contraindications.

  9. My breast cancer was estrogen positive, so I wont be messing with anything that can affect those types of hormones in my body. Most of the rest of what you said was over my head! ;)

  10. eat fish oil fight cancer

  11. My regular vitamin supplements for the last six years have been Vit D, Coral Calcium, fish oil and DIMM. So, whatever I thought I was doing so right, apparently I wasn't. :(
