Analyzing movies after chiefing

Yeah, man, this is one of my favorite things. It's a blast when it's good, like the first time I saw the film Fargo, but more recently all movies have been kind of laughable, too forumlaic and trite.

The best thing to watch is The Daily Show with Jon Stewart and The Colbert Report, those guys just crack me up.

 

When I watch movies when I'm NOT high I always forget its just a movie and look at it like its really happening, I forget they are just actors.

When I watch a movie high it is just so obvious usually that they are actors and everything they do is completely scripted.

Yeah when I watch movies lifted I judge everyone's acting like damn that laugh was misplaced or some shit. I usually don't do that when I'm watching comedy though because I'm a little bit more entertained by some funny stuff.

But I don't really analyze the shots more I just notice more things and pay more attention to the story.

 

Yeah I love doing that. I watch nearly every movie I've seen recently while high, and a lot of movies just aren't that great when you get down to analyzing the shit out of them lol. Nevertheless it's another way to experience it I suppose.

 

I do that all the time watching movies and TV shows.

I also notice bad dialog more than anything and it ruins a lot of movies for me now.

 

Comedies are always fun. I've also recently noticed that action flicks are amazing. The Bourne series...

 

How I wish I knew more people like you!

 

Whenever I watch movies high, I always fall asleep. So I'd rather listen to music or something.

 

I watched the Sixth Element while halfway through a 6 hour sesh, I was extremely baked. I had seen the movie before on multiple occasions but when I watched it high, I was so much MORE into what was happening. I couldn't handle what was going on even though I knew what was going to happen. Such a good experience haha.

 

i like to watch cartoons usually cause the whole acting thing bugs me too much...

when i'm watching tv I love to analyze commercials and who their intended audience is, why did they say what they said, and was it effective

i think about how they spend millions of dollars on advertisements and plan every detail to what goes in the ad so meticulously

 

Anybody ever see Donnie Darko high? That movie had me thinking for days after it finished. It's one of those movies that REALLY makes you think about whats going on.

I do. I tend to analyze everything though; how they cut costs by using camera angles to only include certain things, shooting minimum time out of studios, script errors, plot inadequacies, product placement, continuity errors (drinks in glasses between cuts), appealing to the biggest demographic possible... see what I mean.

One example: Not a film, but I was watching Heroes the other day and I couldn't stop thinking about how they have virtually all the demographics covered between all the characters. The government employee, the teenager, the academic, the cop, the immigrant etc etc. Weed just makes me think!

Me too! Haha thats wierd, movies seems so fake whenever I'm high. If it's animated or something, i will usually just picture the script and realize how bad it is, honestly if it weren't for the voice actors most television shows would suck shit.
