Hi all, i now leave in Denmark and I wanna start having 3-4 babies in my flat in a room pretty spacy but i was thinking of a space 1 m2. I wanna start from this year on soil but i really think of going hydro nxt year..... as most of u I have done my homework about some books and videos plus the immmense of information from the internet.... but plzzz....i prefer some more info... so i will get soon my seeds from netherlands and now i wanna start gathering some equipment. I am gonna be using Biobizz products for food and soil and mainly I am concerned about which lights to choose. I have found this 105w CFL gro 6400K 7300Lm for growing and a similar 105w CFL spare pære (rød) bloom 2700K 7300Lm for blooming. Do you think is a good choice as lamps? Do they need any special ballast? Can I use the same sockets as for incadence? Thanks in advance you all ....
I'd suggest using both for at least flowering and 105 watts for 3-4 babies in veg may be a little on the low side. I think they need special ballasts but I'm not sure. They are the equivelant of a 500W incadescent and I'm doubting your typical incandescent ballast can handle that much power. Private message nomoreqwertys I know he is growing with a 105W CFL.
if your not planing on get an Hps I suggest you get four of those bulbs max and three minimum and as for sockets you can can purchase two ceramic sockets and two Y adapters(allow to bulbs to fit one socket) then get some extesion to wire them up thats all oh yeah if your gonna get four bulbs get two of each P.S I know most 105 watt bulbs no all of them cost atleast 50 bucks USD so thats like 200 bucks for lights I WOULD JUST GO WITH AN HPS IF I WERE YOU www.insidesun.com cheapest on the net
great guys...thanks a lot...i think I will go for HPS most likely...one more think though... do you know if there is a circuit that make better regulation in the ballast so you can consume better?a guy I was talkingwas telling me about (this guy just finished his MSc in electronics...) if you know anything tell me about it.or else if I find it first I ll post it... no matter thanks a lot for your reply guys....
Not sure about the wiring thing you were talkin about. But I bought my lights here only took 5 days after i ordered. Very Discrete. I bought the 400 watt one with the MH conversion bulb and the free timer it was only $183 after shipping. The guy that owns this place is very cool. http://www.htgsupply.com/productdetail.asp?productID=377
I was high when I wrote it but heres a better explanation step by step first you buy an extension cord then cut off the female part with scissors then you wire them up to the back of your ceramic socket to the two srews in the back very simple the exlanation makes it sound hard heres a link http://forum.grasscity.com/showthread.php?t=109472
