  2. Good to hear you made it out BNW. Your plants look beautiful, nice harvest. I've got to say. I would have stayed out of the mountains for a while after all you've been through.

  3. I left the boat at daybreak today to hit the grow and with icy hands knocked out the last 3 plants before 10am and then loaded the car and we are off again. LMAO. Sheesh I didn't even have time to take a clone.

  4. It was clear blue skies driving up the hill but Wunderground still says we are going to catch another round of rain and snow. 100% chance of.. 3 inches of rain = 3 feet of snow if temps drop early enough. 4500 ft snow level and we are well above that.

We hit 2 stores while we were here and have enough food with us to last until the 4th of July.

The harvest was the critical item and that is dealt with. Fertilized the veg plants with Alaskan fish goo. Smelly but it works well. They will hold fine for a while yet but I really want to take my cuts before shutting off the lights. I'm already 2 weeks behind where I should be with setout and clone taking.

If it rains and I can get out I'll drive down for the day and knock out the clones and maybe stay the night and plant the veg to ground. If it snows again all bets are off and I'll find a nice block of Ice to pound my head against.

Fresh Snow was all blown off yesterday in the tail of the storm and the 50 degrees today softened what the blower missed and I made short work of it with a shovel after lunch when it had gone slushy so the drive is clear once more if a little muddy.

No point in trying to dig out that side.

    20230331_180903.jpg

This isn't going anywhere very soon.

    Narrow but passable.

The bigger mass of the Feb snow is now compressed to solid Ice and still 3 to 5 feet deep in many places and immovable without extreme effort. Even widening the parking 3 feet to get more room to turn the car around in was a pain in the..... Chop some. Blow some. Chop more, Blow more. It is taller then the blower can toss in places. The ice is hard enough to keep shearing bolts in the feeder blades it is that solid.

With a warm sunny day I chipped away at the downhill berm and gained another 2 feet of turnaround space.
    20230401_114239.jpg

Poor thing was down on the suspension snub on the driver front corner as well as the general snowed in condition so I took pity on it and started chopping. All hand work.. Mother of GOD that is a lot of SNOW !!

    20230401_150658.jpg

Shoveled out the bed and around the back.

    20230401_150729.jpg

You can see the body down on the drivers side at the bumper.

    20230402_140607.jpg
I had to keep slicing back what sets on the wall as I was scared the overhang would peal off and fall and that is a massive weight.
Both the body flex and the suspension rebounded once the huge load was off the running board and rear fender.

Last few feet I didn't have in me but the old pup is full free of the 6 week icy tomb. A bit more slush in the drive from this latest storm today but the plan is to leave tomorrow and it looks like 10 days of clear weather so clones and planting and deal with the hanging harvest.

About 7 gallons all stripped off. A bit drier then I like but in range.

    20230405_175914.jpg

Several more given away should leave Friday. I'm so far behind where I should be that this will be challenging. This all should have been cloned and planted in the ground to flower March 15th.

Flowering into June is a crap shoot as higher temps and long days will trigger reveg if the plants are not done enough. The 3 small ones on the left I'll keep under lights and hold in veg for summer and the clones I'll take this week will see what we see. Hmmm I need to sleep on this and think..

  9. I think I'm going to try and cover both bases at once and keep the lights on the main garden until Aug 1st, Take clones even if real late. Going to take the main tops to clone with and level the plants as many of the secondary branches are 2/3rd tall. Clean up the lower scruff now and make my life a bit easier at harvest.

Many transplanted but now I'm in the main garden and the weeding is killing me before I can plant. Slow going and Ouch my aching back. Bit of a break this morning breakfast out with friends and....

And all the happy faces. Took all the main cola tops this time and evened out the top and did some skirt work to limit the scruff at harvest.

  11. Got the last 3 plants in the ground and aimed the rearmost light down and back for coverage. I chose to split the spring set and half will flower and the other half in the main garden will get lights until Aug 1st if plans hold.
Snowmagetten threw a monkey wrench in my cycle and I suspect flowering 3 weeks or more into June will suck.

  15. I figured you must have been close to running out with all that snow and being trapped in your cabin. It looks like you have things back on track now.

6 dish licks and I'm higher then I should be..
    20230413_161645.jpg

Capping done I set my sights on Tincture as I've been getting the scraps Decarbed and in jars. 5 full 1.75 ltr jugs and fifth.

    20230413_162126.jpg

    Quart at a time.

    20230413_163836.jpg

Pressed out and banged the scraps out into the black bucket.

    20230413_163845.jpg

    Long shot

    20230413_172328.jpg

Got back 3 and a fraction with over 2 still locked up in the saved wet weed. I'll recover most of that later with the still.
