i know that its alot of work and wed all rather be vegging out, but spend some quality time with your bong in fromt of a computer and look for some good hostel/hotels to stay in. Whats your budget??? the hotels are really expensive and if you look hard you can find a private room in a hostel for much less than half the cost of a hotel room, unfortunately i cant remember the name of mine, but if you just show up there like i did at 11pm looking for a room... good luck.
Amsterdam is a very european city, if your not well traveled that means, buy a money belt, your shit WILL get stolen ( some guy working with the cops stole my wallet and gave it back to teach us stupid americans)
make sure you get a map, it is a huge city, and unlike american cities amstersdam is in a circle, and not a square so 3 rights dont make a left.
dont buy drugs off the street, this is the #1 way to eaither end up in jail or get robbed/.stabbed, and you will see drug pushers atleast once a day.
Something in particular about amsterdam, be stern and impassive as this is the polite way to conduct buisness in the netherlands and bums/private shop owners will take advanage of you, in some instanes this is alot worse in amsterdam than other cities

there are coffee shops all over the place and most hotels/hostels have a map of them.
keep in mind DONT TOUCH THE DEALERS BUDS!!!!!!!!! thats a no no
most bud goes from 6-11 euros / gram and hash is about 8- 15 dollars a gram
coffee shops are where you buy bud, they dont sell it anywhere else
each coffe shop has a dealer table, they dont leave things out on display and usually you will need to ask for a menu.
Its illegal to sell any one person more than 5 grams at a time,
and you should usually smoke your bud in the shop or in your room, you can smoke it on the street, but its looked down on and not in front of little kids

my favorite shop wasthe pink floyd umma gumma shop, and the doors had a great orange bud, but there all dank its really up to the smoker. some sell alcohol and some dont.

also there are \"smat shops\" if youre into it, this is where you buy all the other legal herbs. here they sell mushrooms, dmt, false opium, lsa ans a variety of other various herbs very cool


also check out the davinci impressionis museam, theres a couple of liquor stores that sell absinth

but go to the irish coffee shop i forgot the name, easy to find, its across the street from freeworld cafe cause theres nothin like a guiness and a jont after a nice hardy irish breakfast

 

what you want to do is try and get hold of a little book called A SMOKERS GUIDE TO AMSTERDAM this has everything you will ever want to know about sleeping and smoking in amsterdam it also tells you which places to stay away from and also all about the lucky lucky men that are all over amsterdam trying to sell you cocaine and e,s hope this helps

 

Be sure to visit STIX coffeshop... it\'s awesome and the quality was just amazing!

If you\'re looking for convenience - get a room in Rembrandt Square hotel. There\'s Club Smokey coffeshop (ok quality, but very generous selection) and a Smokey bar downstairs. We generally got some weed and then went to the bar, took couple of pints of Guiness and watched English premiership there

 

Oh yeah... screw the Coke and E dealers. Prices are not so bad, but i\'m sure you\'l end up buying laundry detergent :-/

 

dont go to any of the bulldog coffeshops.. very touristy and money making schemes. the grasshoppers not bad, but it is expensive. i had the blueberry haze and the widow there and it was real tight. route99/66 was a good one. tried the crystal and the jack herer there and it kicked ass. the amnesia haze from the grey area was one of the best overall. definately go to the grey area-has the reputation for having the best bud in amsterdam, and its owned by two very cool americans
