    As horrible as it would be I'd love to see the awe of America unrestricted and unleashed. That how it should have been in Nam. Reason we lost was we fought a war with our hands tied with crying liberals at home influencing policy.

    The only way we would have beaten the North Vietnamese would have been to repeatedly bomb them into oblivion, or use nukes.

    I don't think that would've been the only way for us to beat them, but guerilla warfare is a bitch to go against.

    We sent our best and brightest, they couldn't beat the Viet Cong, it was a slaughter. Getting involved with that war was one of the biggest mistakes America ever made - but to those who had the right contracts, it was highly profitable.

    the usa hasnt won a war since ww2, everyone was somewhat united then. we lost every war since, except for the first gulf war and if i remeber correctly everyone was somewhat united then, of course i was only a kid then.
    but we kicked their ass and got it over with. now our wars are drawn out and never end

    Are you aware of the absolute desolation we caused during the first Gulf War. That's what we can do without our hands tied. Kuwait looks hellish to this day. Though that's partly Saddam's fault for lighting the oil wells. And that's against a conventional army, not asymmetrical warfare, that hasn't worked out well for the British, French, Russians or us.
