    in my american liturature class, they topics of rationalists and romantics are all over. i was asked in my text to answer which i was. i had a mixed answer, and im sure some of you might as well. also, i just stared a section on the trancendentalists (Emerson, Thoreau, etc) and am very curious about the city's take on the subject and how it might influence your intuition. thanks. peace.

    the way i see it is that i live in a rational world. so conditioning kind of makes me a rational thinker, like science, evolution and string theory. thats rational thinking. still, i dont support rational thinking all the time and would rather live in a trancedential society. luckily ive had exposure to each idea and can consciously choose to have a trancedential mindset.

    rational thinking gets into war and politics, trancedential thought gets into love, art and 'drugs'.

    absolutly. that, in a nut shell, was my response. we're all still learning, and i find it hard to believe that on person has everything figured out. that, it think, is one of the reasons most people would reoply with mixed answers.
