Why do the trichomes on the sugar leaf's turn a deeper amber colour but the trichomes on the buds never turn that shade of amber its always a lighter amber colour, or am i chopping too early? anyone have experience with this?
I go by 50/50 amber to cloudy, But have noticed the amber is always alot deeper on the small sugar leafs and just wondering why
Trick of the light, shading, they were hotter than the trichomes adjoining the buds that are not as fully ripe. Take your pick. BNW
I go by the pistils.........when there are no more white pistils forming, and the orange pistils have receded.........they're ripe and ready.
Isn't always the case though. I've had pistils completely turn and recede and the trichomes were still a good mix of clear n cloudy. Still needed a bit more time. Pistils are a good indicator of when it's close but there is no better way to tell a ripe bud than by looking at the trichs. Sent from my LM-X420 using Grasscity Forum mobile app
