Amazing Video on Glass Blowing and the Industry

Discussion in 'Experienced Cannabis Enthusiasts' started by Durchii, Dec 1, 2006.

  1. Found this on YouTube. I think I might just get into glass blowing in the basement or something.. I need someone to apprentice under, though.

  2. very cool, +rep for posting it.
ive thought about life as a glassblower, it must be pretty entertaining. getting to do something expressive, which you love, and getting paid for the products.
if you do get involved with blowing make sure to post up stuff on the city. i would like to know more about how hard it is to learn/get started.

  3. good video but sometimes it seemed that he was making it just so he could test out his special effects skills. and one thing that really annoyed me is that he never showed the guy blowing glass from start to finish. that would have made the video if the glass blower showed all the raw materials he was gonna use then started and at the end of the video you got to see what he made.

  4. Interesting vid.

  5. Very true. He abused special effects.. ANd it is hard to understand the blower with his legs crossed over the damn music.. But this is a very entertaining job.

I am fatally drawn to the arts.. And if I could pursue my photography as well as glass blowing, consider me a happy fucking guy. :p

There's actually a few glass blowing starter kits on this one site I found.. I'll post up the link later.

For now, I'm gonna go see if any of the neighbors left their newspapers unattended today.. Catch you later.

  6. pretty good video, i can honestly say that i learned something, so im not at all disappointed with it, although i agree the production was horrid.

  7. Good video. They sure had some nice glass there.

Oh and wtf is with the cat at the end? o_O

  8. Thats an awesome video. Even more awesome is that I live in Burlington now(college) and I've seen a lot of those pipes in person. That one shot were they are panning around to all the cases filled with headie pipes is the shop where I got my triple bub. The place is called Good Times Gallery and has the best selection in town, and thats saying something seeing as there is four other headshops within like 5 mins of that place. thanks for posting it this vid.
