Am I too old to play with Legos?

  1. I loved 'em as a kid, but stopped playing with them around 13-14 (that's when I discovered video games). Never really got into them since. Then the other day I stopped at my parents' house and saw my old Legos. REALLY wanted to build stuff.

So after the holidays once I get my basement cleaned out and such (converting it into a living area at the moment), I'm gonna bring over my legos and set up a little area for them. I'm 21... that's not that weird, right? :p

  2. Utter impossibility to be old to play with Legos.

    Same with watching Spongebob.

  3. No its not weird. I wish i had me some Star Wars legos right now.

  4. Nah because from what I've seen all those people at lego land in orlando that build them good as fuck are all older

long as you're enjoying yourself its all good brudda

  5. Do the life size ones.
    Have fun building.

  6. You're never too old for Legos, my friend.

  7. Why not. There are some people who get paid good money to build sculptures for grand openings and ish like that.

I wouldn't invite a girl you were trying to impress downstairs to show her your Legos, though.
    :D

  8. You can make pretty amazing things with Legos. If I had money, I would buy buckets of every color, and all sorts of different Legos.

Thanks for the positive stuff guys. Haha, I know I shouldn't worry about what other people think and just do what I like. But sometimes it's hard man! I'm def gonna do it though. Can't wait! I really want get a new "hobby." I play drums and all, but most days I just come home from work and play video games. Not that there's anything wrong with video games, I just want something more gratifying. I've tried picking up a few new things here and there, but I think I just gotta get back to the stuff I used to LOVE doing. :)

Heh, my girlfriend lives with me and she's cool with the idea. :p

And I'd love to make sculptures and grand openings and ish like that. I want to go to school for architecture.

na, its pretty normal. love those things.

  11. never to old to play with legos.

My mom is nearly 50 and plays with/builds legos as much if not more than my 8 year old brother.

  12. Naw dude you're never too old for legos. One of these days when I have nothing to do I'm just gonna get super blazed and get the 6 giant boxes of legos we have and build something epic. :smoke:

  13. I might call it weird to make a habit out of playing with Legos. Whenever I go to my parents' house for Christmas break (college student) I end up building something out of Legos towards the end of it. It just happens out of boredom.

  14. Well, carry on then, friend. You have nothing to worry about.

    :D

  15. Hey man, you can never be too old to be creative

  16. Excellent wording!

  17. professional grade lego work area. :smoke:

  18. ^ Wow.

Lincoln logs can be thrown into the "never too old to play with" genre.

  19. I never played with legos. I wouldn't play with them now as an adult. I was more of an action figure, video game, toy mechs, play swords, cops and robbers, indians and cowboys, cartoon and movies type of kid.

I guess the thing I don't like about legos is that no one would play with me after I built something. Once it's built, it sits. That, or somebody would just end up kicking the shit out of my spaceship and landing gear that I just spent an hour building.

  20. No way. Not only is building a good exercise for the mind but it's undeniably fun and often challenging. Build it bigger, build it better.:smoke:
