Am I the only one who thinks Kramer is apologizing way too much?

Because he's the celebrity in all this, i think it was bad what he did but still..

 

I only seen him apologize on letterman -- did I miss something?

 

damn. kramer fucked his career up in a way. he honestly need anger help or something, even on letterman he was close to snapping again i think lol

 

I think he has a right to his opinion. The majority of the black community does not defeat stareotypes in a positive manor. They tend to beat the hell out of whoever is deemed "racist" which only reinforces the negative stareotype.

I'm Jewish, and whenever I hear people saying anti-semetic things I try to explain to them that I have no intencion of taking over the world, that my ancestors weren't responsible for Jesus's death, ect.

The majority of racists are narrow minded people, and narrow minded people can only see what's right infront of their face. If I'm the first Jew they ever meet and I'm an asshole, they will think that jews are assholes. If I'm the first jew they ever meet and I'm polite, then in their eyes jews are polite.

All racists have a reason for being racist, it may not be a good reason, but it's a reason. Whenever I see somebody ranting about "Those fuckin (insert race here) need to go back to where they came from. I always ask "What did they ever do to you?"

They always respond with, "a whole bunch of them beat my father to death over $20" or "I got fired beceause one of them said they would do my job for minimum wage."

If someone is racist and you don't like it, then it's your responsibility to convince them that the actions of one, two, or fifty people don't condemn the whole race. If you won't do that then you deserve what you get.

All the people in the audience did was cuss at him, which is only going to reinforce his hatred twards black people. He has absolutly no reason to appologize.

 

Bro, have you ever been to a live comedy show? Because you have no idea what you're talking about. Hecklers are as common as the comedians themselves. The notable difference in this instance is that Michael Richards, unlike a professional comic accessed his repressed feelings to deal with them. It's all part of being a comic, and many times comics don't wait for people to heckle them, instead they select members of the audience--most times people in the front row--and start berating them.

Since this story first broke I've heard comic after comic talk about his temperament and how he wasn't seasoned enough to rebuff those guys interfering with his act. Again heckling is part of the business and if a comic can't handle that they should probably be looking for another line of work, in Richards case, unemployed skinhead maybe?

I tried to finish everything you wrote but after I read your insulting and simplistic generalization of blacks at the beginning, sorry I didn't have the stomach for it. Humph, and you're Jewish?

I think its funny... If the guy would have been any other race but black everyone would be fine with it.

 

How did I know there was going to be one of these... If you would have finished reading it you would have known what I was getting at. Black people tend to congregate in groups of other black people, jews, mexicans, pueroricans, white people, rednecks, highschoolers, elementary schoolers, ect. All do the same thing. I don't know what rich suburbanite area you're from, but here in the Bay area the people in black neighborhoods often go out and beat "racists" to death. All I'm saying is it doesn't help their social image to do this.

I'm not racist, I have many black friends, a couple of my dealers even live in the black neighborhoods.

Minorities in large groups are violent people, atleast in Pinellas county, but this is the second most densly populated county in the US so wtf do I know about the rest of the world.

I can tell you don't have a vast knowledge of what goes on in this world beceause you say "Hump, and you're Jewish?" Like Jewish people have been persecuted so much that they should be understanding of minorities and their problems. Bro, if you knew anything about my postings you'd probably understand I don't debate either. I think debates over the net too easily get out of control because the subtle nuances of face to face communication are many times lost here, which usually leads to many misunderstandings. Being black myself, it's difficult to read through threads like this because from my point of view GC is being turned into a place to espouse views that are not friendly to my ethnic persuasion or helpful to race relations in general.

From your posts so far I would conjecture that anything I would have to say is going to fall on deaf ears. Your response above isn't entirely unexpected but it gave me a good chuckle anyway.

First of all, I didn't threaten to flame you. The quotation marks indicate that I was quoting someone. I was indirectly quoting you. What you said is "I don't want to read your post." Then you said somthing about how I'm generalizing people, which is a flame.

I knew you were black from your first post on this thread. I don't mean to say anything bad about you or your race, and I'm pretty sure I succeeded in that.

In all honesty you're right about the whole forum debate thing. Alot of the times they end up in a flamewar. But on certain forums where that don't allow 12 year olds (such as this one) I find it alot easier to debate somthing without getting a string of swearwords thrown at me.

If you don't want a debate, then don't bother contradicting people, beceause if you're not debating then you're argueing and arguements are completely pointless.

In regaurds to me personally being a racist, where I grew up it was always black vs white. I judge everyone on an individual basis, but what bothers me is the vast amount of black people who can't do that. I'M NOT SAYING THAT ALL BLACK PEOPLE ARE RACIST. All I'm saying is that some people, black or otherwise don't understand give and take. If you glare at white people when they walk down the supermarket isle, they won't like you.

If those black people didn't like what Kramer was saying they could have walked out silently instead of embarassing their whole race like that.

Yea, that guy did call Kramer a cracker, but that was after Kramer had said ****** multiple times. Yea they were heckling him, and he certainally had a right to be angry but that does not in any way at all excuse him from what he said. You can get angry without bringing race into it, its not that difficult. And as AK said, hecklers are very common at comedy shows, and his poor ability to respond just shows he's really not that great a stand up comedian.
