Am I the only one who doesn't support Ron Paul?

Discussion in 'Marijuana Legalization' started by Alex1646, Dec 24, 2011.

  1. I agree with him on the Federal Reserve, removing our troops from the middle east, and on the drug laws.
But I disagree with him on everything else. His stance on abortion is absurd. The gold standard crap is just stupid. I mean really? Allowing states to control my sexuality?
I will not vote for Ron Paul. I don't think I will vote, there is no good politicians running for president.

    Fuck off.
First you mention three things that you agree with him on and then say you disagree with him on everything else (which you then name two issues-abortion and the gold standard). I have no idea what you mean by allowing states to control your sexuality, pretty sure he doesn't give a fuck if you're married as a gay or straight couple. Also, he's not going to be able to single-handedly turn the whole country back to the gold standard; thats his belief and goal, but if he gets elected that doesn't mean he is going to be able to overhaul our entire economic structure, so there is no need to worry about shit like that. I'm sure you'll find stuff reposted around this place about how he is one of the only honest, stable, sexy, and smart people running right now-and thats because he is. I have the feeling that you're just trying to be edgy on this site by saying you're against Ron Paul, since the majority is for him, but I believe if you read and listen to more of what he has to say you might realize how much of a better alternative he would be to the people who currently are in control of our government.

  3. You agree with his stance on the Fed but disagree with the gold standard? Lol'd

    Fed = Necessary
    Gold standard = Death

I'm still voting for him though. No way he'll be able to abolish the Fed single handedly

  4. They all seem to make over the top promises, RP has my vote just because of the war issues. I think most sane people in the world today want to see the end of war...oh yeah, the fucking drug war too...Merry Xmas!!!

You are not alone in the anti-Paul movement, the mainstream establishment media and most everyone who believes in that crap say anti-paul. also a few things to point out.

1, if the gold standard is a bad idea, and the Fed is a good idea, why is there so much rampant inflation and bailouts that everyday people never see but foot the bill through increased Taxes.

When the US was taken off the gold standard, it invited massive inflation to the economy. the fed just prints money and now a days isnt worth the paper it's printed on.
Plus, gold has been used as currency, along with silver and other precious metals, for thousands of years.

Also, when you hear, 'gold went down' or 'gold when up' thats not the case, it's the dollar went up or the dollar went down, respectively.

2, the Federal Reserve is one of the most corrupt agencies in the world. Fed chairmans have stated that the Fed is above the law and answers to no one. such an example was the congressonal hearing with ben bernakie (sp?), when the commitie asked him which banks the money went to and how much was given to them, bernakie basicly told them to 'fuck off". (paraphrasing)

Continuing with the Fed, many of those who work for the fed used to work for wall street, most coming from goldman-sachs, and the same could be said the other way, many of who work at goldman-cachs and other investment firms used to work at the Fd or other government positions. Two exapmles are Tim Geithner, Current Sec. of Tresury and Hank Paulson, Sec. of Tresury under Bush. Both of then used to work for Goldman-Sachs. Hmmmm.

Speaking of Hank Paulson, durning his tenure, Paulson used fear to push the first bailout bill in this whole mess by taking congersional members to the side and stating that if the bill was'nt passed, the stock market will drop 4000 points in the first two days, and martial law would have to be set up from the violence the people will contribute.

    just passing this on.

  6. There is no reason whatsoever any member of Grasscity should not support Ron Paul. Ron Paul believes in liberty, and freedom from Government. These are standards none of the politicians will uphold you too.

Basically, Ron Paul = Freedom in it's purest form.
Obama & GOP = Simulated Freedom

Ron Paul has kept his word for decades, something our current leader has struggled with.

  7. This forum isn't big enough for the two of us:mad:

  8. i wanna know what gives OP any merit to say ron paul's gold stance is stupid. please, enlighten me since you must be a famous economist who knows a secret about this issue.

  9. I too am against liberty and freedom

There's things your going to disagree with, with any politician. Nobody can make everyone happy, literally it's impossible.

Also, if you're not going to vote then why complain about any politicians stance on anything?

  10. No, you're not. I'm not a libertarian either.

  11. ^What do you disagree with him on? Voting strictly based on party is foolish.

  12. Am I the only one on GC who doesn't know who Ron Paul is ? Lol

  13. I'm a socialist so a bullet point list would be rather long. I don't do party politics. I'm not politically close enough to either party to warrant it.

  14. Understandable then.

    ...

    Ron Paul 2012 :hello:

  15. At least you're not the person that is voting for Ron Paul solely because of his drug policies.

But as with everything in politics you have to select the lesser of two evils.

  16. He's anti abortion, anti gay marriage, that's two Civil Liberties he doesn't like right there. Not to mention he's a racist...

    No thank you...

  17. How do you find Ron Paul to be racist, exactly?
He's not for or against gay marriage. He doesn't want marriage to be a federal issue at all. He may disagree with it, but he won't deny it. Same with abortion. He'd rather let the individual states sort that out, even if he personally is against it.

Not only do your arguments not hold up, they're outright incorrect. Do proper research next time.

  18. There's a difference between not being a fan of something and trying to control someone else's life, bro.

Not sure where you got the racist part. He outright said the war on drugs is a war on blacks. That means he's racist? Trying to help out the black man?

  19. 1) Gold standard is great as long as countries play by the rules. The second some dickhead decides to sterilize gold inflows everyone is FUCKED. The order of the economic recoveries around the world during the Great Depression coincidentally correlated to who dropped the gold standard the soonest. That's a fact sir

    2) The Federal Reserve is necessary. Who will be there to step in and provide liquidity in capital markets without the Fed? No one. That will lead to a massive run on the banks. Why do you think they established a central bank -again-? I'm not saying the Federal Reserve handled the past decade or so well, don't get me wrong.

  20. this thread seems to be a lot of hypocritical nonsense...

if you really want to have an abortion, or have gay marriage then i feel bad for you. look at his values and beliefs and remember no one has been so loyal to his word than this man.

    VOTE RON PAUL
