CBD Am I the only one that thinks all this CBD stuff is a scam??

Discussion in 'CBD Oil' started by MattmPsi, Jan 14, 2019.

  1. First, I don't mean people who are using CBD for real disorders etc and whatnot that they were diagnosed with that it helps.

But I mean, the CBD companies kind of make it seem like it does something for everyone..

Meaning its supposed to relax you, and basically give you the medical effects of weed without the high right? So with that should include the relaxation, appetite stimulation, etc etc those types of things..

But I've gotten plenty of CBD products and haven't been able to get any of these type of effects.

Basically without weed I cant sleep or eat etc.. thought this cbd stuff would be a good temporary alternative just to let my tolerance to THC go down a little. Doesnt work for me though. I get I'm not supposed to get high but theres no relaxation effect or anything at all..

I dont really even get high on weed as it is, it basically just relaxes me anyways and I still cant even get that effect off CBD.

I hear some people tell me it takes time to build up in your body before you can feel the effects, but then I hear other people say they take it and they feel the effects set in without taking it for a whole week etc.

What gives? Am I missing something? Is all this CBD stuff pretty much a scam that everyone is taking a long time to catch onto?

Does anyone here take CBD? Is it something you feel "kick in" after you take it?

    Thanks in advance

  2. Hemp CBD is bullshit because the CBD In Hemp doesn’t contain the necessary other cannabinoids for it to properly function. Female CBD extracted from flowers DO help with pain and much much more! The hemp markets bullshit and it’s very unfortunate...

  3. There is no regulation in the CBD market. You could be ingesting olive oil for allcyou one. That said, there are a few that are legit according to those I know that use it. I don’t though so can’t comment on any brands

  4. I am trying it now again and I keep getting the same results, nothing.I've given it a few chances to show me what it can do and I get nothing. So I will use up the bud and oil I was gifted and then just stick with the regular THC bud.Scam...dramatic pause...I'm leaning towards that conclusion but I've been wrong before. :D

  5. You may benefit from a 1:1 CBD:thc tincture or Oil. The thc will be lighter, 10-14-% but the CBD at the same concentration should negate most of the psychotropic effects. With the entourage effect of terpenes, other cannabinoids, thc, and CBD, this should hit you more effectively

  7. I’m growing a 2:1 strain for topicals for my wife and I called Fruity Jacky from Philosopher seeds. It’s 14% thc and 7% CBD.

  8. Good luck with that.I have not given up on CBD but it's not something I need,I just thought I'd give it a try after reading and hearing so much about it.As far as I'm concerned the jury is still out for me.

  9. Until there are FDA controls with punitive enforcement measures in place, then yes, of course! Some portion of this stuff finding it's way to market is going to scam-based - worthless or worse.

Caveat Emptor for products appearing in an uncontrolled market.

  10. hmm, I'm currently vaping R4 which is supposed to be 20:1 cbd strain, but until I get mature flowers from another clone it's what was left from the plant after making seeds, and I'm vaping regular bud as well.,
It does do something ....definitely relaxes the body and there is something in the head but its not like thc more of a satisfied feeling , non anxious so to speak, it does tend to make me quite drowsy though.

  11. You're not the only one. It is a scam, CBD works best with THC.

  12. Everyone's blood chemistry Is different, it might not work for you, but that doesn't mean it doesn't work. Generally like everyone has said, you need a small amount of thc for the entourage effect where they work together. If weed works for you though, then just use what works.

  13. I take CBD every day, for several disorders. It helps but you need to take enough of it. I agree that it works better with THC. The oil I make is a 5:3 ratio, from a Star Tonic cut that tests around 15% CBD and 9% THC.

  14. Citation?

  16. CBD doesn't work for everyone.
If I take even 1 mg it hypes me up all day, and then I have trouble sleeping that night.
CBD from hemp is chemically identical to CBD from weed.
The simplest explanation of why CBD apparently works better with THC is that it really doesn't, and that the effects of THC are what makes someone think the CBD is working better.
The "entourage effect" adds a possibly unnecessary step to the explanation.

My wife takes CBD, and the best source I've found is Medterra.

  17. Oh ok so it's just a claim with nothing to back it up. Got it.

  18. Until another 10-20 years of actually studying this stuff in a proper, clinical setting goes by, definitive answers to these type questions will remain elusive. The best advice is to try different things and combinations of things until you figure out some sort of personal approach.

OP did not mention what affliction or condition they might be attempting to treat, and the lack of "kick-in" suggests nothing more than another marijuana use disorder in development, to me.

  19. Only read a few lines past the title. But I had about 12 different pay shipping and we’ll give y a month supply free... they all worked for me. It was nothing I every felt high, was disappointed at first bc I was expecting to fill it. Start out with 3-5 drops for 3-5 days and go up a few drops every 3 days until u find the right dosage. What u did notice is on cold winter days and rainy days my knee I’ve had surgery on twice wasn’t hurting or anything the whole time I was taking it helps small aches and pains also... maybe relaxed to. But it’s hard to feel a lot of that when u first start and when ur still smoking weed. At first it’s a psychological thing, once u know how to use it and what it does for u u will start to see/feel the benefits. When I first started I was taking waaay to much and if I remember correctly it was giving me head aches

  20. Your giving it to me you mean? That sounds good! How do I get it?
