Am I Shorted?

    So I know that technically speaking, half an ounce is like 14.17blahblah. But do most dealer just consider it 14g? I just bought half an ounce from my dealer and it weighted out to 13.97g. He's never shorted me before so I'm not sure if I should text him back asking about this. Would you consider this getting shorted?
     
    Sorry I'm a noob andThis guy is like my 2nd dealer and I've never bought half an ounce before, only an eight/quater. Thanks guys
     
    Update: I know 0.03 is not a big deal LOL, but do most dealer consider half an ounce 14g or 14.17blahblah? If it's 14.17blah then I'm getting shorted quite a bit there. I've read from a lot of posts that people usually get 14g or more with half an ounce so I just want to be sure.

    Yoyr shot a galf is 14 grams, if you call a dealer saying imbshort a .1, i think id rob you the next time

    No they don't normally weigh 14.17 whatever. It's 14.
     
    Did the dealer use a scale to the hundredth of a milligram? Or did you get that weigh on your own scale? His might have said 14.

    His balance wasn't well balanced probably. Nothing to worry about. My dealer gave me 27.4 instead of 28g and thats normal sometimes...chill out :bongin:

    Thanks fore clearing that up for me :D . My scale is to the hundeadth of a miligram, I'm not sure about his scale never seen it. I live in a pretty busy town so I weight them myself when I get home
     
     
     
    Sorry I'm new so I'm not sure how much is considered getting shorted. And the guy knows that I'm a noob too so I'm a bit paranoid, don't want to be taken advantage of. :D

    I wouldn't say anything unless there's over a gram missing, anything less than that is pretty insignificant imo.

    At most he's shorting you .2 grams from 14.17 but people just weight to 14 because it's easier and if you're really upset about losing two dollars then I would never sell to you

    Not everyone's scale is gonna be calibrated the same, and if you tell him he shorted you hes most likely not going to fuck with you anymore.

    Usually the only time .x is used is for weights below a quarter as ur just cutting the amount in half. It goes as such, 1.7g - 3.5g - 7.0g - 14g - 28g. Thats general consensus.. how would a half oz ever be 14.xx? From 28 down its 14 even. From 1.7 up its 13.6

    Naw you didn't get shorted.. anything under 14 I would question him, but .03 is so little, even if he shorted me .5 I probably wouldn't mind.

    most dealers just go with the rounded amounts, 3.5, 7, 14, 28.
