Here are some pics of my plants at day 13, the thrird set of leaves started and i just started using lst. I know i have to transplant them to bigger pots, but is this what i should be doin for LST. Also which way should i be facing the plants, leave side more toward the light or away. the pics might be a little messed up due to scaling. feedback would be nice... am I doning this right?
I would say you are doing it absolutely perfect. Your immediate goal is to get those main stems as parallel to the soil as you can. Try and tie them down further every few days. Also, you started early enough to really get a good organization of your branches as they grow. Most growers tend to train that main stem in a circle following the outside edges of your pots. Looking good
alright thanks man. also which way should i have the fan leaves facing, towards or away from the light. any comments from anyone else?
get a string and wrap it around the base of the main stem for support, this way you could probably bend the plant more 90 degree like....thats what i did anyway
also should i be trimming the fan leaves that are touching the soil? I'm open to comments and suggestions.
Looks good. Careful about tieing them too high up on the plant, you don't want your string or wire grabbing around any new growth. I rotate my pots every few days so that it gets light from different sides. As you get down the road and the side branches are developing into tops this rotating will help them develop. Keep an eye on fan leaves that are touching the soil. Don't just go trimming them, as long as they look good then no worries. If they get withered or develop brown/black splotches then trim them.
hey my man ...you are lst ing too early ....you need to wait until you have at least four internodes.........
Well it's day 15 and I thought I'd update with some new pics. It's 2 days after i started using LST and yes there were 3 nodes. The plants are startin to bush out like crazy, can't wait to see these things in a few weeks.
