Am I Doing Dabs Right?

    Ok so I just got this new rig attachment for my bong, and for some reason when I light the glass nail with my torch lighter all the wax did was mainly melt on the nail. I got a little hit but not much to even cough. The flame on my lighter is entirely blue, so isn't that hot enough??? So if the stuff is melting on my nail, so is it because the nail isn't hot enough?? Too hot?? Also, is it normal that the glass nail is supposed to be loose-ish? Help is appreciated! Thanks guys!

    Yes it's normal for it to wiggle freely on top of the male connector, but it sounds like your problem is your dome. You have to place that over the nail after it's been heated before you take your hit.

    You said glass nail or ti? Either way get a propane torch an heat that fucker close to or red

    </blockquote> I know how to use the rig, but I'm trying to determine why the wax isn't burning correctly. If it's melting on the nail, is the problem too low temperature??? Should the nail be glowing red, or is that just for titanium nails?? Thanks again!

    It should be melting, it should bubble and poof away into smoke. Yeah, I usually heat it up pretty hot, just to when it's glowing, then let it cool for a moment while I put on the dome. It might be that your stuff isn't full melt, are you sure you're using BHO not bubble hash or something? I would just get it glowin' and try again.
