I just opened up my dads opacity to check some info on a neighborhood golf course, and some AiG page was open. I'm not particularly religious, but was raised Catholic like my dad. His parents were extremely religious, and I'm pretty sure he is too, but Answers in Genesis is by far the worst site in the history of the internet to gather information from on the various topics discussed there within. Can anybody suggest an alternative site he can get info on God and science from? I'd send him to talkorigins.org but I think that'd be a little too big a step for him. I'm particularly fond of Ken Miller and Francisco Ayala, do either of them have sites or blogs or anything about reconciling faith with science? Any help on this matter is greatly appreciated. P.S. I'm a secular humanist, but if believing is important to him I don't want to take anything like that away. But this AiG shit can't stand.
Man i kinda feel like this situation would be better handled with a face to face conversation as opposed to poorly supported arguments on a creationist website. Educate him from both sides and im sure he'll appreciate it.
It will be, ultimately. I'm just looking for some more "pro-religion, pro-science" material. I'm very familiar with pro-science and anti-religion materials, but I feel those would most shut him out of conversation.
