So, this morning I stayed home from school, and when everybody left I went outside and sparked a cigarette. I hate cigarettes, but it's hard not to smoke them sometimes because my brother likes to smoke them, and the temptation's juat always there, (I'm sure some other blades know that feeling.) And when I was done, I carelessly tossed it under my deck, thinking that was last I'd see of it. About an hour later my mom comes home and says something smells like it's burning. I was confused to I looked outside and noticed a bunch of smoke from coming under the deck and saw that one of the legs was on fire along with the leaves around it. Also it burned through my hose. My mom helped me clean the mess, I think she knows what caused it but didn't say anything. She's just worried about my stepdad finding out. I just feel like shit for my carelessness and that my mom had to come home to that :/ Any advice?
there isn't much you can do to keep someone from noticing that their house caught fire.. i don't know man

lol. one time I left a grill going on a wooden deck of senior week shorehouse down Jersey shore.... was so drunk, went to take a nap. woke up to fire engine sirens about 2 hours later with the deck on fire. Only you can prevent dumbass fires kids.
You have to be careful, especially this time of year. Sooo many fires start from still-lit cigarette butts. One time my dad was smoking a cig out front at my old house and tossed the butt into a planter. Not even a minute later my neighbor came knocking on the door frantically to tell us the planter was on fire. There was already a 4 foot flame engulfing the planter :0
