One of my plants of about 10 (all my own seeds) has near neon red hairs. Its smell is very sour and completly different from anything I have grown or smoked before. I used microscope and the hair is red as well as the crystals coming out of it, is this common or linked to a specific reason? Its so different I was almost afraid to smoke it the first time I cut some off to test it. Other than the very pungent smell and neon red hairs it looks just normal. (does not have normal skunky smell at all, just that pungent sour smell) Thanks all for input. (even when dried, the hairs stayed bright red. I dont mean ruby red or reddish brown but a neonish red)
It's that Waka flocka flame I've heard that shit is neon red and no I'm not lying I saw it on YouTube in one of his like behind the music shit he shows the bud
We tried to take some pics the other day I will post them up when I have the cam with me, maybe tomorrow. (can online get online at work) and the camera doesnt have a macro setting but you can atleast somewhat tell. Now I wish I had cloned it Too late. Will post pics up. Thanks for info so far!
This isnt my plant but with a bit of google image search I found one that is the same. Ill post my own pics tomorrow when I have them. Any ideas? Seeds were originally bag seed grown to flowering, I hermied one to get females and this is the baby of that batch.
It's not uncommon to get different phenos with seeds....The hairs may even get more brown the more it ripens and the odor will be much different after a proper cure.... You could try to cloning. If you get roots it will take like 21 days to revert back to the veg stage....
Yeah out of 10 or so plants only 2 are showing signs of pink hairs. All seeds were from the same plant. They are getting pinker if anything since ive noticed them, I quick dried one in my dehydrator and they stayed pink, not that neonish tint that looks glowing but very pink. May have to try cloning see if I can get it to become a non recessive trait. Thanks
Chao I'm tagged, I love unusual varieties, especially for my images. I had a MOD strain once that had unusually pink pistles, can't wait to see yours..DD
I didnt take the pics, unfortunatly the camera or lights really made the pink turn out dull and lackluster in the photos The hairs that look white were actually a light pink and the bright light makes it show up as white hairs, the pinkish looking ones were a much deeper pink, again too much light kind of dumbed down the vivid colors The brown hairs (normal) are the ones that already receeded, it seemed all the pink growth came after the original white pistils turned brown. Everything from then on came out pink. You can kind of see the pink better in the dried bud, I took those pics outside of the grow area with less light. But again the color is just not matching up Ill try to take some pics myself when I have a day off, really disapointed with the photos But anyway here they are. 20 minutes to figure out image uploading as thumbs and they dont link So heres a link to my gallery where the pics are and thumbnails of them below.
