Almost Got Bit By A Deadly Looking Snake.

Discussion in 'General' started by Born To Die, Jun 19, 2014.

  1. I was on my morning run. Felt really focused and I was totally zoning out to the music. At times I closed my eyes and saw how far I could run without hitting something. I was really baked... I think a couple bikers yelled at me but I wasn't sure because I had my earphones on. A few of then would pass me then turn their heads and stare at me. Idk wtf..

Anyways on a side note I almost stepped on this snake. Idk what kind it is but it acted aggressive.. Managed to get a good picture of it though.

  3. Yeah I did.. Put it on my instagram.

  4. Start carrying a taser just in case you do get bit.

what would a taser do for him if he gets bit by a poisonous snake?

best advice is to keep your eyes on the ground in front of you.

here in the bayous where i run we have water moccasins (highly poisonous) everywhere around this time. seen plenty of them. just start running with heavy footfalls. that scares em off.

  6. Likely a western terrestrial garter.  Garter snakes can be quite defensive, they make great pets though, generally really easy to feed.  Most will accept chunks of raw fish or shrimp.

  8. Here's a couple pics of the trail I run on. It's right next to this 80 mile long Creek(Fountain Creek).

After the initial shock of what almost happened I escorted it off the trail with a stick. I didn't want it to get ran over.

Seriously though. My eyes had been closed for like 7 seconds and I was sprinting and I had just re opened the eyes for a couple seconds when I saw it. It was about 3 feet in front of me. I remember yelling "woah dude, omg man". Glad no-one was around....

    nice, pueblo sure is beautiful.

  13. Good job!  We need more people in the world that exhibit this respect for nature.

One of the things i hate more than anything on earth is seeing DOR (dead-on-road) snakes.

I'll see the most beautiful species smashed by some asshole that just doesnt care.  Even on trails, people will target snakes and run them over on purpose, where i hike, some sick fuck likes to torture the eleodes species.. :(

  14. Yeah, but I'm actually I'm in Colorado Springs/Manitou Springs. Like, right up against the mountains. That garden of the gods thing is only half mile from my apartment.

This place trips me out. There's hippies and bums all over.

  18. it doesn't look too harmful, but then again looks can be deceiving. kinda looks like a much bigger version of a grass snake and those aren't harmful

  19.   Something tells me this comment was intended to annoy me

That's the most biggest gigantic serpent I ever layed mine eye upon!

"She was living in a single room with three other individuals. One of them was a male and the other two, well the other two were female. God only knows what they were up to in there. And furthermore, Susan, I wouldn't be the least bit surprised to learn that all four of them habitually smoked marihuana cigarettes..... REEFERS"
