I set my power strips on a small plastic plant shelf so they're about 3" off the ground. I'm sure glad I did. I couldn't even see it but I had one plant that was sitting a little off on it's drain tray. I fed it heavy and the runoff made a big puddle right under my power strips. I'm just lucky they weren't on the ground. Probably would have shorted something.
Buy a drip pan large enough for your pots, besides the electrical hazard all of that water is going into the floor/subfloor which after a short period of time is going to rot the flooring and this also provides a great enviroment mold/mildew which with no problem will affect your grow
So - move 5’ high x 3’ wife plants in 15 gallon pots out of the room every time it’s time to water? How about the folks that run SCROG? Be smarter than water. Line your floor with a waterproof membrane such as EPDM rubber or TPO or PVC roofing material. Keep cords, ballasts et al off the floor. J
