All of a sudden I feel really guilty about smoking weed

Discussion in 'Beginner Cannabis Consumption & Tips' started by rebelution32, Nov 22, 2010.

  1. On Friday night, I got extremely high and for the first time ever, I felt feelings of guilt. I felt like my conscience was talking to me, asking me why are you doing this? what if your parents saw you doing this? I thought the guilty feelings would go away, but i've been thinking about it a lot since then.

After I kill the rest of this dub I'm going to be done with weed indefinitely. It feels weird saying this and I'm not sure how long I will last, but I think this is for the better. I know people will make fun of me for this but that's okay, I'm just glad I got this off my chest.

In the short time I've been here, you guys have been nothing but helpful and I'm really glad for that. Peace!

  4. Respect your parents wishes for you. I have my own beliefs about weed though, and I think it is unjust to demonize a plant so harmless.

  6. you feel guilty because your letting the propoganda that has been fed to you over the years get the best of you

be an individual, be yourself, if your 18+ and not smoking in your parents house then who are they to tell you what to do.

    srsly, grow up.

weed isnt bad, not having a mind of their own is. just because your parents look down upon it doesnt mean its a bad thing in general. its what your mind has implanted into its head,

quit if you want but you are for the wrong reason

  7. this same thing happened to my friend on thursday. not kidding. he was on the ground hugging my leg balling his eyes out because he felt that he was disrespecting his parents (who may I add are actually for medical marijuana and his dad actually asked me to let him try some for his really bad backpain). it happens when you're new to weed. I remember when I first did it I would always think about what my mom would say. it doesn't happen anymore though. enjoy the rest of the dub though homie. :)

  8. I've been smoking for about a year now, and never really felt guilty about it until Friday night. I heard a soft voice in my head talking to me telling me that I can't keep doing this if I want to be successful in life. I sound delusional but it's really what I heard. I think this is the best thing to do at this point in my life. I honestly still love weed and how it makes me feel, but I'm sure this is for the better.

  9. There are plenty of succesfull people that smoke weed. As long as you don't let your life revolve around the herb you'll be fine.:smoke: But if you feel this is what's best for you, then do what you gotta do.

  10. if you believe something was telling you weed is bad, then you dont deserve to smoke it as far as im concerned.

  11. werd to that brotha

  12. What is there to feel bad about? I am 18, and I made the decision to smoke pot after doing my own research into it and finally deciding that it was something that I wanted to try. I ended up enjoying it and have been smoking it for the past few months more than 3 times a week.

The only way I'd feel bad about it is if I felt like it began to take over my life, but I attend college and maintain above a 3.6 GPA. I receive a monthly allowance via my parents but I make my own money on the side from other sources that pays for the marijuana, so I do not use their money, and most importantly, it's something that I find really fun and enjoyable.

Life is too short to worry about something as silly as having fun

  13. Dude our president smoked weed, are you telling me he's not successful? Chances are if you go to MIT or Harvard on any given night you'll see kids smoking weed, and keep in mind these will be the leaders of tomorrow. Steve Jobs smoked weed when he created the first
Apple computer, that didn't go too bad for him!

As long as you are a responsible adult who can manage working hard to obtain an education/maintaining a job/ whatever, I don't see any problem with smoking weed once in a while. But if you feel you can't do this it really might be for the best... Best of luck.

  14. The first couple months of my pot smoking life where the best.I was content.I spent alot of time thinking about life and just finding answers to the questions i had.Weed made everything clear at first and i felt like it was something thatd be good for me.I wasnt being dumb.Id smoke in my room and just sit back and enjoy.I dont believe in god and i pretty much took care of myself as a kid.You shouldnt feel guilty. You need to get past the idea that pot is bad.Dont listen to your parents or anyone around you.If you experience and spend some time research it youll find out that almost everything they tell you is bullshit.Just be smart with it.:smoke:

  15. "Believe nothing, no matter who said it, no matter if I said it, as long as it agrees with your own knowledge and your own common sense."

  16. wow this sums up what i think and more.

i mean yes i can relate to what you're thinking because for me weed is something that is only good in short spurts. when i smoke too much i tend to get lazy, and well not myself. that's why i've learned to limit myself. it's not exactly the easiest thing...yet i feel it is for the better.

again every person/situation is different. do what you think is best for you!

  17. words of wisdom right there.. shieeeet.

  18. I respect the decision. It's up to you to decide whether you should smoke or not. Maybe you can't face the consequences of being caught or the criticism you'd get from your family if you were caught.

I'm really glad you didn't come on and, like an asshole, tell everyone else they should stop smoking.

I remember feeling pretty guilty about smoking in the beginning, I can't remember how it passed, but it did.
Maybe it's good to follow your instincts.

Best of luck in the sober world :) It was a pleasure tokin' and reading with you.

  19. if you quit weed because you feel it is ruining your chances in being sucessful in what you want to do later in life, then good luck.

but if your quitting weed because you have guilt you're being influenced by all of the media against it. therefore you aren't the one coming up with these ideas like "i won't be successful because of the plant" you aren't thinking for yourself but either way good luck..

  20. Lmao, thanks for the laugh.

But to OP, get your shit straight, then smoke.. probably whats making you feel that way.
