Hey guys. So I'm trying to grow my plant as natural as possible, as if growing in the wild. So I'm gonna plant a seed in a pot of soil and water it when it's thirsty. I'm gonna keep in indoors so that no one steals it. But that brings up the problem of lighting. Most indoor grows use lights. Most outdoor grows use the sun. I want to hear some thoughts on how I could make sure my plant gets what it needs to survive without buying lamps. Put outside in the sun during the day? Leave in a windowsill? What do I need to do? Thank you. Any thoughts are appreciated.
You either grow indoors with lamps or outdoors with the sun. You can't grow well through a window -- not enough hours of light exposure per day, and window glass is treated to block UV rays so your curtains and upholstery don't fade, but MJ needs that UV. And if you are going to leave it outdoors all day to get sun, which is a good idea, but then you might as well grow outdoors. You could bring it in at night if it's too cold, but don't bring it in because you think it will lower the risk of it being stolen even though it's sitting outside all day long. Right now it's too early to start an indoor grow in the northern hemisphere and too late in the southern hemisphere.
Okay thanks. I guess I'll need to buy a light. But since I obviously still wanna keep it simple could you recommend a light for me? Preferably something small and something I'd only need to buy one of. Also, could I still just put the plant in the window light but have the purchased light installed above it. I know your supposed to keep it close to the plant but would that work? Please share what you know about them so I can understand how it works. Thank you
Forgive my ignorance but what's a "sticky". I'm new to this forum and have never used one before this. Thanks for you patience and advice
A "sticky" is a thread that the forum admin keeps at the top of the list always. The title starts with the word "sticky" because they are "stuck" to the top of the page. They contain things like common answers to common questions, forum rules, etc. One of the main points of having stickies is to cut down on people having to answer the exact same thing over and over and over and...
