  4. With SamSung boards! At least that is what they say. I'm a little fixated on this stuff right now, and this is making me wonder if this is where costs are going on these type of boards. I'm not up on them either yet! But I did purchase the boards on the second link, so there is some information to come but this seems awfully cheap.

These boards are about 45% of the cost of a domestic board. The thing that did it for me is; even if this board fails (1 of 2, I presume), it will be worth it just in learning about them. They have a one year warranty and a claimed life of 50,000 hours.

I just thought this would be of interest.

  5. Boards fail, no matter who you get them from. Definitely a great way to learn about qbs, and learn for yourself!!! Too many brand loyalists being lead by brand ambassadors round here. Definitely buy it! I can’t get boards that low and I managed to talk my way into some pretty fair deals! And if anyone comes barking about some knock off shit, well unless they’re sharing their test results, you should show them the door, a lot of parrots round here repeating what they’ve heard and never taking the time to learn. Besides, if you find they are using components other than what’s listed, well you get a full refund and keep the light. doesn’t tolerate misrepresentation of goods. With that being said, when dealing with, you have to set your quality standards. All that means is that you have to specify EVERYTHING you want in that light. Diodes etc. in writing! IN WRITING. Then your assurance order is protected if anything is off.

  6. I just ordered a preassmebled 480W Quantum Board from Canna Technology on Alibaba.

It has 988 Samsung lm301b diodes at 3500k 48 red diodes, 8 UV diodes and 8 IR diodes.

It is dimmable with a separate switch for the UV and IR. It is powered with a MeanWell driver and comes with a 3 year warranty.

In total it cost £324 including shipping and fees. It will be shipped on Monday and should arrive in 3-5 days from then.

The process was a breeze and the service was top notch, fingers crossed that it performs as advertised.
