    Hi All,
I used ice cream buckets for for my pots, and I just noticed some algea on the inside of the buckets near the bottom.

Any ideas on how to get rid of the algea short of transplanting?

Next time I won't use a pot that light can penetrate. Moisture+Light=Algea

  2. Short answer is "No"
    Repot is a must

    and..
    Nutes + Light = Algae

  3. You could paint your pots or coat them with something lightproof

  4. It just so happens that I covered the pots with heavy light-proof paper and flushed the soil with 3% H2O2.

Its been a day since flushing and plants are doing fine and the algea seems to be dying off.

    Thanks for the reply
