  1. I have a spider mite infection...

and i read where you can spray 50% rubbing alcohol 50% water on them to help kill the mites.. an hour after spraying im sitting here watching leaves on a lot of them turn brown and fold up. This happened started happening 20 minutes after spraying. I don't have my camera on me but it looks like they are all about to die. Is there anyway to save them or anything because this is prettty shittty watching my girls die before my vary eyes.

  2. What % alcohol did you use? I know several growers personally that use it for a variety of problems. It should be 70% Iso Alcohol at 1;1.

  3. yep that's exactly what I used

  4. wes, I'm sorry, I don't know what to say then. maybe scale back the ratio or discontinue use. I've used it myself in the past and had no problems, just stopped due to smell of the alcohol. A few variables though, stage of growth can play a part in being bothered by the spray along with plant strain, not all strains respond well to various treatments. Hopefully all is not lost for you.

  5. thanks but its just not looking good at all right now.. shit pretty depressing losing so much bud.
They are 5 weeks from seeds, and as for the strain its pure power plant from nirvana

  6. Again, I'm sorry to hear this. Spider mites are not an easy thing to shake loose. Several different treatments need to be used to combat, if not eliminate them. Rosemary oil and neem are a few other inexpensive ways to fight them. The effectiveness of the products, I can't say. I've read promising testimonials about the higher end products developed to eradicate spider mites, just not sure what your budget affords. Another option that has a high success rate is predatory mites. I would try searching about for an answer, if one is not given here for you in a timely fashion.

  7. I am also sorry to hear about this. I use rosemary oil. Mix a bottle with 2% rosemary oil and 98% ph'd water. You can buy the stuff at GNC or online for around 10 bucks.
