Yeah, but it doesn't matter what you "believe". An addictive substance is an addictive substance. You can believe it's "not" one, but your body will think otherwise over time. I'm not implying that "everyone" get's addicted to alcohol. However, there damn well is a possibily of addiction and cravings, especially if you drink 1-2 glasses every night. Your body does get use to that you know.

I don't "fear" alcohol. I actually had a beer tonight (my friend who rarely comes over, brought a six-pack, and I did, yes, grab a beer because I didn't want him to feel bad). This was my first alcoholic drink in 4 months. I quickly switched to Tea thereafter and much rather preferred that.

Drink what you want. Just be careful. Anything that causes you to crave isn't worth doing, especially if the potential is there.

You should not also limit your information what your father and a few studies says. There is no perfect doctor, and there is no perfect study. I do have a Masters in a research-related field, so I do have experience with this stuff. Instead, you should take in account all studies, and all recommendations from all doctors. Being picky about what you hear is not a good way to go about things...

  2. I do agree that alcohol is very addictive, but a glass or two of wine is such a tiny quantity that it is rather absurd to imply it would give you cravings. If people do, it is because they have naturally dependant personalities and are feeling more of a psychological pull than anything, which is always an issue as habituation is dangerous for such people.

I also know many smokers, that simply cannot have a good time with cannabis unless they have a stupid-ass alcoholic drink with them. It's like cannabis not "good" enough, so they have to drink a "40zer ZOMG" so they can enjoy themselves.

Two glasses of wine is actually, a pretty decent sized drink. Especially if you are female (such as yourself), and you certainly don't look to be of a big sized female either. You do it long enough, and you will get cravings for it. I know several female friends of mine that get pretty tanked off two glasses of wine..especially on an empty stomach. I have a girl that I am dating, and I'm seriously thinking about dumping her stupid ass, because all she wants to do is go out to the bars and get TANKZED ZOMGZ ALOCHOLZ IS SO AWEROMZ!

All I'm saying is just "watch out". Cannabis is the only substance/drug/thing/howeveryouwanttodescribeit worth doing. Some people can use addictive substances wisely (I know a cigarette smoker who only smokes occasionally...now that's weird). You can do that with Alcohol as well, but not very many people can. Why set yourself up to be in the position. Just because a couple studies and your dad says that it's good for you in small doses is certainly not a good reason for me personally.

This is weird. I'm sounding like a parent, but I'm only 25. Maybe I'll make a good one? :hello::smoking:

  4. Thanks for being sweet and watching out for people, but I can take care of myself just fine! I think you will make a good dad if you are this concerned about other people's welfare!

I'm one of those people who can use addictive substances wisely, I smoke 4-5 cigarettes a week, only on weekends.

And yeah, sorry about the girl... sounds like a bad fit. :(

  5. alcohol vs. weed is simple....

throwing up and feeling like shit vs. venturing the galaxy through your senses while listening to good music and discovering the eternal answers of nature & existence.

    simple as that.:smoking:

  6. I only drink when i play beer pong, flip cup, or kings cup...etc. I can't just throw back beer after beer with no purpose. If its straight liquor, i hate it. I can't even smell liquor without gagging because of past experiences. The only exception is if its a margarita, those are damn good. But I like to stick to smoking, its way better in my own opinion.

  7. personally, i find i need to drink to really enjoy my high. weed makes me kind of uptight, and more likely to just sit there and not say anything, even if i want to. i need the alcohol to loosen me up, and really allow me to enjoy the high. i never get hangovers either, which is nice :smoking:

    ^^

I have had some good memories with Alcohol. It makes me feel like I am floating. I feel real light and good, but that's about it. Weed takes me to a high and fucks with my mind to where normal things have layer upon layer of variation and deeper meaning. I've had some of my deepest conversations with people while high.

Some of my favorite activities while being high: Debating or talking about a deep social subject, masturbating to porn, having sex, eating...etc the list goes on. Weed makes everything better.

But one thing I will disagree on is that there is no hangover from weed. A day after consuming a large amount of weed I usually feel depressed.

I mean I do love me a good beer...

But If I am drinking I enjoy a blunt or something to toke on...

I have better times drunk, having beers with my buddies...smoking is involved...

but It just seems to me you get more laughs and funny and memorable moments out of a 30 rack and an eighth rather than a blunt among a few heads

    just my 2 cents

    EDIT

More Sociable when drinking, walking around a party with a blunt and a rack lol

  10. I don't know but I think I'm a lot more social when I'm high vs when I'm drunk.

  11. i dont realy drink anymore but when i did it was malt liqour hurricane
blue bulls gold bulls stuff like that 211 but lost my taste for it used to like getting twisted now to me at late 19 bout to be 20 just like getting real fried :smoke:

  12. I'm pretty sure anyone with eyes and an open mind either already knows, or can find out that there are tons of negative effects of alcohol. My favorite is "You never see someone smoke a joint, then go home and beat his wife."

  13. ^ This

    /end thread

  14. In the end it all comes down to responsibility. I've known people who have lost their jobs because of drinking and also people who have because of weed. Just gotta know how it affects YOU as an individual.

Personally I enjoy both, but would take MJ over drinking if I had too.

  15. Couple 40's between 3 people? thats weak:rolleyes:

  16. /Thread.

  17. Dear all people hating on alcohol , experiences..

either become of age to drink it, and hold your liquor and don't complain...

people putting alcohol in the same category as _____

I know how bad it is but a few drinks or few beers among friends and catching a buzz off like 7-8 beers is fine..I can't recall the last time I got spins or sick..

    that's just me:wave:

    /thread

  18. I love them both really, Im more of a smoker though. Im the kinda guy that will smoke out a few blunts or smoke heavily on the dank and just enjoy a few beers to top it off. When I was younger I used to get sloshed out drunk all the time but I havnt as much in the last years.
