  1. This is more of an experiment than anything.

But i have 4 heavily resin-ed pieces that are unscrapable.

I\'m not sure if I actually read this somewhere of just imagined it, but I recall that if you let them soak in isopropyl alcohol, you can run the alcohol through a coffee filter, let the alcohol and water evaporate, scrape and then smoke the remnants.

    Sooooo yeah.

    What\'s the deal?

I know I can clean them very nicely this way, but it\'d be nice to have a nice ball of resin to smoke. If not, then I guess I\'ll just have to take money out of my beer-fund. :(

  2. I think you are right... just make sure the left-over has fully evaporated before smoking.

  3. I\'ve done it, however the amount of resin I got was very minimal...

but my pipe wasn\'t caked up too much.

Also I just put all the resin/alcohol into a pot and boiled it off until there was just resin left...instead of waiting for the alcohol to evaporate

  4. thanks guys, i guess i\'ll give it a go and let you know how it turns out

  5. Scrape it... out of a coffee filter?

Won\'t it kind of bond to the filter?

I tried something similar once, anyway... the resin didn\'t look too appealing after the process was done.
