Airborne Mold

    I've got a question regarding bud and mold. I went to one of my buddies the other day, who is also a temporarily dealer, and I picked up just a few grams. Anyways, upon entering his basement there is a pungent smell that really hits the nose, and it pretty much confirmed the rumours that I have heard about his place having mold.

    So pretty much, the guy's basement has got mold. I don't know which kind or how severe, but I can tell you that is really reeks.

    My question is simply this:
    If he were to store his weed in that basement (or even somewhere in the house) would there be any possibility of the weed somehow getting infected, possibly through the spores?

    Just a mild concern I had, and I thought I would ask for your guys's opinions. I really doubt that the stuff is moldy, there is no visible signs of mold and when I smoke it, it is smooth and tastes fine. Some really good indoor. I'm just wondering that if it maybe sat long enough in the moldy environment that it may somehow contract some of the mold properties.

    Anyways, let me know what you guys think. I'm not overly concerned considering I have other options, it was just I had heard that he had some really good stuff.

    Bro you should be more concerned about just breathing in this guys house in general, forget about the weed but to answer your question unless it's grown there you should be ok .. Just have him meet you at a spot don't go inside his house

    Dude, I know what you're saying, I held my breath a lot, haha.

    But no I'm not concerned about the air I was breathing in for 20min, I'd be more concerned about him living there, breathing it in daily.

    Mold spores are in the air all the time everywhere. All weed is infected. Before it goes in the bag. There's over 10,000 species of bacteria living on and in your body. You've got around two pounds of bacteria in your gut right now. Microbes are everywhere. People need to chill.

    Was just wondering if the mold in his house could have possibly been transported into the bud. Nothing that you said helped me of any bit, obviously bacteria is everywhere, in your body and all around you, that's not what I was asking.

    You went a little too all out on your answer big guy

    the mold spores in the air in his house can get into the bud. the same mold spores are in the air all the time and were already on the bud. as long as you keep your weed dry, the spores will remain dormant and never germinate.

    No he didn't, the mold spores are on there the problem isn't them being ON the bud the problem is letting them grow on it by being exposed to moisture.

    If the weed never gets wet you're good.
