i am going to have problems if i start trying to exhaust the smells from me closet becuase of location and unfortunatly dont think i can afford a carbon filter. is there a way that you could have a completeley air tight closet grow and just bring in good air and leave the smells in the box. i understand that one of the ways of acheiving this is to have co2 enricthment but as i said befor cant really afford this. i will only ever be growing 5 plants at a time (in autopots), i have created another stage between veg and flower by having a specific box for sexing this way i can guarantee to have 5 ladies in the flowering closet. ive never had 5 plants before and it has stank with just one, which im quite worried about this............any ideas?? jimbo
What's up man. Props on the grow. I'll tell you what I tell veryone who wants to figure out a cheaper wa of doign something when you grow: You always regret it. Once you realize that a carbon scrubber is the only way, you'll wish you had one. If nothing else, DIY.
if i was to vent out of my sloset but just into the room where its situated via a carbon scrubber, wud it still stink to high heaven
Venting you row cab into the closet could work, provided too much heat isn't generated by the lights, vent fan motor, or anything else that might heat the air. Obviously this is because if you don't have good air circulation inside the closet, the heat in the air will just be recurculating. Make sure you open the closet door (the one that leads to fresh air for a few minutes a few times a day. Good Luck! I had a similar operation going myself, from what you say about yours.
im planin on using LED grow lights or envirolites so heat isnt too much of an issue it is my own place but it a small flat so limited for space and have lots of neighbours close by. also its in the city centre which is why it cant be vented outside. its by no means ideal but its only a few plants not a full scale grow
