has anybody tried that?, if it works that could possibly rule out the worry about light proofing your inlets and outlets.

btw even if you dont know anything about it, still say a yes / no on if you think it would work, general opinion can decide alotof things.

  2. My opinion would be no. Depending on how much air the pumps can move and the size of the grow space it could work. Although I think a computer fan and some ducting elbows and black spray paint would be easy enough to do, and cheap.

  3. This seems promising.... I just found an aquarium air pump when i was cleaning out my cabinet for a grow. Haha. I might try something out with it.....

  4. Sweet! Get a rubbermaid low slung tub.. a couple of 12" air wands, some GH nutes and use the lucas method to go hydro with your next grow! :)n (unless you already have a hydro setup, of course.)

Seriously... unless you have an industrial air pump.. you're not going to be moving enough air to ventilate anything but a shoe-box.
    Sorry. :)

  5. thats funny because ive seen air pumps that move more cubic feet per minute than some 4inch inline fans.

  6. hey man, its all about experimentation!

haha I might go with a bubbler for my next grow.... or look up the lucas method.

  7. Experimentation is good... as long as it doesn't cut into the results of your own medical grow :(

I'm dumping my soil and going back to hydro and the lucas formula again until I have a backlog of medicine for myself.

I highly recommend setting up a simple bubble bucket next to whatever soil you're doing right now. Once you do a side by side you're never going to go with soil when you need fast results as the growth rates are nowhere near the same.

    Bucket 6$ 5Gal preferred
    Lid 2$ (for the bucket)
Black spraypaint $3 (to paint the outside of the bucket if you're using more than a 100W HPS/MH
Airline 10$ (for a big roll of black 1/4" drip line from the sprinkler dept of a hardware store)
    Airstone 2$ (Package of 4 1" stones)
    1 Pint GH Micro $10
2 Pints GH Bloom $18 (You can get away with just one to start with but you'll need a second one eventually)
The link to the formula is in the post above ;)

Follow the bubbler bucket setup in the newbie forum and you're off. :)

Oh yeah.. if you're not going to SCRoG it... you may want a netpot to drop through the bucket lid to hold the plant steady. :) (I just use a bit of sponge wrapped around the stem.. no bucket as the screen supports the plant soon enough. :)

The prices are inflated a bit so the total will be around what it would cost for shipping or gas to get there as well. ;)

Can things be any easier?! LOL
