Air pump in refrigerator dwc?

  1. I was wondering if anyone has put there airpump in a mini fridge or refrigerator. I had this though a while back. Would this keep your Rez temps down?

  2. Not really... you're better off running a lot of hose in a coil formation in a fridge than the pump.

I'd just insulate them it's easier.

  3. I'd think that a keg fridge would be a good fit for that experiment as there should already be holes in it. If temps are an issue I'd look at your pump and the amount of water in the reservoir. In a 5 gallon bucket it gets hotter, faster than in a 20 gallon container... also, where do you keep the Rez, is it under the lights or is it in darkness or near an ac unit?

  4. I don't have a problem with temps I'm outdoors. I was just wondering if anyone thought it was a valid thin to be done if a issue arose.
