Air Loss To Long Duct Run

  1. How long can I run 4 inch flex ducting without too much loss of volume of air?
224 CF of tents (4x4x7*2). 165 CFM fan.
Have done all calculations except effect of length of input duct.
    Going 20 feet
    Will booster fans help?
Duct from window 14 feet. Duct between tents 6 feet. fan sucking on back of 2nd tent.
Fresh air sucked from outside, exausted into room.
This is all done to avoid high humidity from house swamp cooler in summer only.
    Winter none needed.

  2. Thanks, already found that.
    Too technical for me.
It talks about inches of water. I don't know how to convert.

  3. Personally id run a fan on both tents plus a booster on the 10' stretch but what the hell do i know, lol. I'm pondering my vent system now... bout say "yolo" and just run it. best of luck to ya.

  4. That's a weak fan and with a 20 foot run it won't bring in much air. Is this the only source of fresh air for the room? How about a 6", twice the cfm.

  5. Here is what I decided to do. 6" fan and ducts ventilation.png
