Air Hose - RDWC

  1. So, to keep temps to a minimum I figured clear tubing would be best, or at least a whitish/murky one would suffice.... Dark colors would absorb the light heat and in turn dump that into the bucket. Eh?

Is there a 'better' way I should be thinking? Fix me! <fistboom>

  2. For something that has little surface area exposed to light, darkness of color won't matter much, unless the water pipes are large diameter.

Gravity feed from a storage res that's fitted with float valve runs cooler.
I think gravity feed is as effective as re-circulation, and it's a lot easier.

  3. Hmmmm... I think I might've confused myself then. What I'm looking for is for the air hose color; not the water line color. Those are already PVC white. lol

I've already got in my wishlist. But read on another post that blue > clear > black. Wasn't sure how/why that held true.

  4. Don’t have anything transparent mate.
Roots don’t like light, it stops them growing and encourages the bacteria that causes “root rot”
Wrap stuff with insulation tape and if that’s not enough you can get silver bubble wrap type stuff that knocks another few degrees off.
