  1. Ok, this thread was made to gain insight as to what carrer path I will be taking relating to the service. I'm not looking for biased reviews, arguments over whom is better, stronger, ect. I want raw experience from first hand-accounts of people who have been there and done that.

The only opinion I want is to know which branch of service has the LEAST likely chance of going over and fighting in Iraq or Afghanistan. I am not against the war, I am not for it, and I don't care what we are fighting over.

I'm at a point in my life where the service is the exact thing I need and I will do what I need to do no matter what, I just want to avoid having to kill another human being and living with that on my consceince for the rest of my life. Thanks GC

  2. okay it goes like this
    pussies v homos v morons v fuckups v slackers v losers.

  3. Join a militia, just watch out for the FBI.

  4. Hutaree HUAH!

    ninja militia say whaaaa?

  5. Maybe serving for the USA just isn't for you.

  6. What he said

  7. You will not avoid combat in any service you listed. I was in a Combat Control unit in the Air Force.....even our computer geeks strap on a gun and go to war. Join the Coast Guard and stay near the US.

  8. u so uninformed.... just because he doesnt' want to kill he can join the navy airforce coastguard, they are support except for a select few in these branches who fight and are bad ass mother fuckers. the rest stay in the rear with the gear.

  9. You can join the Merchant Marines?

  10. TRUE....

You know what they do to thousands of people every day in these programs?

The exact same thing every day. Untill you realize what a waste of your life choosing that path was.You will lose a lot of close ones, if any.

Humans are a creature of habbit.

EX 1: Everyone has their own shower routine. How wierd that sounds it's true.

Ex 2: You fall asleep around the same time every night, and wake up about the same time every morning.

The point I'm trying to make is; our lifes are based upon habbit.

When you join one of those forces, they put you into

a routine, and completely control your schedule.

In a way, they brainwash you. They get you to form habbits.

It's exactly like school was growing up; same shit, different day.

Instead here, weapons/training become your playground.

If you play/train with weapons everyday, they are training you for murder.

Most men enter with the same blind mind.

THE ONLY MEN THAT BELONG ON THE FORCE, ARE THOSE WHO SHOOT TO KILL

  11. That would be one hell of a fight.

  12. Wow for a forum for 18 year olds and over, there are sure as hell some immature people up in here. Anyways, I love all the assumptions people relate to the war. I'm not afraid to kill someone, i would just rather PREFER NOT TOO. I'm joining the service for 6 months and doing the boot camp, going to job training for 6 months, AND THEN COLLEGE FOR FREE. I'm not enlisting as a four year officer or anything of that nature since most of you assume that right off the bat? Leave ignorance/immaturity out of this thread please, and oh yeah grow up :)

  13. Before you decide how immature my opinion is try not to elude the fact that cowards like you will always join. People like you perceive terms like "Army Strong" Fuck that.

Have fun out there. I'll stick to filling out my FASFA as far as college goes.

    Fake ass ego

  14. hahahaha and now you assume I'm joining to go on some sort of "ego boost" ? I'm far from having a big ego and its amusing that you would pretend to act like you know me over the internet ? I'm joining for the LONG TERM BENEFITS of joining, aka PAID COLLEGE (which is what I'm in right now, just a freshman and am sick of it as this point), medical benefits, health benefits, all that jazz. plus a bonus just for joining. Is it filled with ego-inflated jarheads? possibly? but is there ego-inflated politicians? yes college students? yes family members? yes. it's part of life. get over it again and please do me a favor this time, and REALLY grow up. Thanks

  15. it's not like cold blooded murder man...it's dirty insurgents that are trying to KILL YOU.

  16. Man.... you're just joining for college money? Go fucking work at Mcdonalds or exploit a talent for money for a couple years. College can always wait, that piece of paper is barely worth your time let alone your life.

As far as I'm concerned if you are joining the military for money you're a murderer for hire.

  17. Among all of those, I would pick....being shot. Or maybe getting AIDs. Or getting in a bad car crash and losing the ability to control my bowels. Or...

Also guys, don't forget that the Coast Guard is an instrumental part of the drug war.

  18. Cost guard. The other branches are actual combat. Take the George bush route

  19. You're missing the point.

I'm talking from experience, and those benefits you seem to think matter, don't last long.

Paid college is something you seem to be driving off of. Yes, we all know this is a great benefit. And yes, there are many other ways to get free tuition.

I wake up some nights with nightmares, remembering one tragic night.

I quit, along with thousands of men/women beside me.

My only regret is joining in the first place.

I suggest before telling me to grow up, take your own advice, because you don't know me. Typical.
