Air cooled hood efficiency?

    how efficient is an air cooled hood compared to not air cooled? My local is having a sale on air cooled 600w kits, less than the price of my regular kit :mad: Just wondering if its a worthy investment? Will it increase yield? Its not a cool tube just one of those closed in reflectors..

    i built a vented hood for my 400 watt hps. i modified the one it came with to hold a small pc fan which pulls the air out through flexduct. i went from having 110 degree temp to 88 steady.

    air cooled reflectors can be placed closer to plants than non cooled

    also if using multiple lights then they can be strung together

    the glass reduces lumens a little
