    Air conditioners replacement
    9,000 BTUs

    400 to 450 square feet

    10,000 BTUs

    At least 15,000btu/hr.

Sq/ft? Should be using Cu/Ft for ventilation cslculations.

Are you using it to cool the lights or the room or both?

  5. Don't worry about all that. Forget about air conditioners. I too am running six thousand watts in one of my flower rooms, and I was having serious heat issues once the Montana winters started to warm up. I lost two entire cycles due to the heat. FINALLY finished installing the entire Water cooled setup from Hydro Innovations, and it is the sickest thing I've ever seen. I went with the two HP spot chiller from Chillking, and it EASILY handles all the heat produced in that room. Not just the lights, but the standard dehumidifier (soon to be replaced with water cooled) six thousand watt Phantom ballasts, and whatever else makes heat in that room. It stays at an even 78 degrees F. I might bump it up to 80 because I'm running CO2, but the point is, you can dial your day and night temps into the exact parameters you want with this system.

If you are serious about growing, look no further than Hydro Innovations for bomb ass equipment. It isn't cheap, but it will pay for itself many times over in the long haul. I have pics if the setup if you want to see. Having Chilled lights on linear movers was a fun challenge!

  6. 6000 watts...I cant even dream about that. It would be a bit overkill for me..... i only grow for my needs. thats all i am allowed to do.

  7. i agree with toledo, 6k is gonna be killer in a 200 square foot grow room. each 1000k bulb produces 4000BTU. 6 of them is 24k, compare that to running a BBQ grill and an air conditioner in the same room.. the hydroinnovations setup is awesome, im considering it myself. if you cant afford some serious cooling like that i would cut your lighting to 2-3 bulb system.
